This might be the best thing that could happen for him, just depends on who claims him.Billups might go back to Denver.

Dont they already have Miller and Felton?
That's what I heard he was going to do.
But the Heat won't be able to get him for 48 hours if no one claims him. They are over the cap right?
They should be but they somehow just find ways to still have money. They resigned Howard, Chalmers, Jones and now have Battier and Curry. They havent talked about ACing Miller.
The Heat are at 65 million, so 7 million over (if it's 58 million). That's without them signing Curry and Battier. Also, them re-signing Chalmers, Jones and Howard wa snot included in the 65 million.
James, Wade, Bosh, Miller, Haslem and Anthony were the ones included in the 65 million. So.. IDK.
Id love to have Billups but we also are strapped for cash, especially if we're going to offer 10M for RIP for 2 years(i would assume).
Jerry said he would pay the luxury tax for a winner, now he needs to prove it.Id love to have Billups but we also are strapped for cash, especially if we're going to offer 10M for RIP for 2 years(i would assume).
Because the Bulls are a big market team that acts like a small market team.Yeah, but if the Heat can sign all these players, why can't the Bulls?

Let's just see if Reinsdorf will go over the luxory tax if the Bulls shall do so. He said he's more than open too.
Bingo! We have a winner! As are the Bears. Lol
In other words, bend over and relax. It'll be over soon. Those comments were made before the new CBA was ratified. The luxury tax penalties starting in year 3 are the harshest of any sport, with some teams paying upwards of 5/1 per dollar over the cap. Considering we were just 3 games away from the Finals last season, JR probably doesn't feel the need to mortgage the team to try & win this year, when it will put us in a horrible position tax-wise when Rose's extension kicks in next season.
I know that doesn't comfort fans when they see LA, Mia, & NY throwing money around like its tissue paper, but the new tax restrictions will make a difference in the coming seasons, people just need to be a little patient.
