also a quick question about the playoff format(atleast the ALDS)...

is it based on who is the wild card and who won the divisions?

or solely based on record?

If a WC team has 2nd most wins in league they still considered 4th seed..

Usually the 1-4 and 2-3 play...only exception be is division opponents cant play each other 1st RD..that rule made up for BOS/NYY

although the bolded is true of the rules of the MLB, i strongly disagree with it

why should a team that's in a harder division(arguably since they have the 2nd best record in their league meaning they finished 2nd in their division to the best team in the league) that got a better record than a team in an easier league get the 4th seed while the other team gets the 2nd or 3rd?

i mean, i guess it has a little to do with structure(meaning that the wild card is basically the last team in, so they should get the last seed)

but i disagree with that approach when it occasionally contradicts which team is ACTUALLY better in terms of record and division
