Dunn even with his shitty defense last year had a Wins Above Replacement of 3.9 which is still worth roughly $15 million.

you misunderstood what i was saying, 15 million is alot for a dh, when it comes down to sabre and what a players worth actually is i understand, but a dh in general doesnt usually make 14 million.

but he will be playing some 1b i would imagine, it isnt like thome where he cannot have a glove.

At this point. I'd take a defensive catcher that you can bat 8th or 9th. 1-7 is a pretty good line up, so I would not have a problem with someone in there just to play d. I'd even go as far to say getting LOLaird. I don't think we'd land Martin, despite him being non-tenard.

But again, that's his value with absolutely awful defense. He absolutely hurts his teams defensively.

If you just put him at DH, he doesn't cost you games defensively and thus his WAR and Value rises.
