He's a good 3 pitcher. Not sure why you think he's some piece of shit just because he hasn't won when his last team before the Tigers was the Mariners who are known for not giving run support.

King Felix sucks because when he won cy young he didn't have lots of wins

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
So, stop using wins & losses to dictate pitchers...great logic.

I know teams are just scared shitless to face Doug Fister.

Dude.....really?

We all know Fister isn't any fucking good. We're saying don't judge a pitcher by his W-L record because that's Special person.

Nobody here is saying that he should be the ace of the Tigers or of any staff. But he's not a piece of shit in the bottom half of the rotation.

And just because he hasn't ever had a winning season doesn't mean that he's not a good pitcher.

Tigers losing 5-1
Cleveland and Minnesota just got started.

Not sure what's up with Verlander. Secret injury maybe?

Yeah. I haven't really watched either game. I only watched a little of the Red Sox one.

It's probably something that the Tigers should look into though. Two starts in a row when he gives up 5 which was his record high before these two games I believe. That's not normal.

They really need Verlander to be great to make up for their not so great rotation.

Yup. They just don't have the pitching and right now the offense isn't doing anything great.

There's no way that they can do it with 4 average starters and an offense that's good, but not great.

I know I keep pointing this out, but for someone who has watched as much baseball as you have I think you would learn by now to not rule things out so quickly.

of course guys can step up and turn it around in the rotation, but thats 4 ifs and 5 if verlander is hurt. sure anything can happen but their offense would need to support the pitching. if fielder or cabrera got hurt but pitching was awesome than its a different story. pitching is the key.

And by done, I'm guessing that he meant that it would take a big big effort and for a lot of people to step up in order for the Tigers to win it.

Not having Verlander, one of their best players, really hurts them. And the fact that it's the best pitcher in the league makes a pretty big difference for their team.

I'm just giving Mr. Game Over a little hard time for these definitive statements about a game that is far from definitive.

Agreed. Any Sox fan that's optimistic hasn't been a Sox fan very long.
