You're not kidding, it looks amazing. I hated Battlefield 2, but I will give this one a try. Hopefully they loosen up the character movement and allow the multiplayer to feel more fluid. I think I may go with Battlefield 3 this year over whatever Call of Duty comes out.

Here is a 12 minute trailer of actual game play. Needless to say, it looks amazing.

EA looks like they're pulling out all the stops on this one. Looks like an amazing game at first glance. Time will tell if it can beat out Call of Duty. I'm guessing EA is going to bank on games like Battlefield this year with no NBA or NCAA Bball game coming out this fall.

COD is basically Madden..

It has throngs of followers but no real gameplay substance anymore.

Basically..I only bought Black Ops cause they had a Black Friday special of $30 for it on Amazon.com and because I wanted to play the Zombies portion of it (And still do)..Multiplayer is basically the same shit its always been and that got tired fast for me.

Which is why I am probably skipping the next COD. There hasn't been much new to the multiplayer gameplay since COD4. The Wager Matches in Black Ops was awesome, but not enough to keep me interested. People keep buying the games, so I don't see them straying too far from the current formula.

Exactly how Madden has pretty much gone. People (myself included) keep on buying the game, so why change much about it? Just come up with some new feature, tout it as awesome and game changing and then people will buy it.

I agree somewhat. Black Ops though is about 100 times better than WaW though. It is progressing but what I hate is there is zero strategy for CoD. BFBC though is full of strategy.

I hope the single player campaign doesn't follow the recent trend of FPS shooters of having a 6 hour campaign. How about a 15 hour campaign?

As far as the multiplayer, I know a lot of people will enjoy the hell out of it, but it won't be for me. I just don't like multiplayer games that let people control vehicles. Vehicles are always waaaaaaaay too powerful, taking away the fun for me. And that is just a personal choice on play style. Nothing worse then spending the time practicing to be very good at a game, only go have a noob mindlessly blasting away with a tank or helicopter.
