Dew hates homefront with a passion. I really like it. My only complaints about it are that there arent enough maps and that some of the cheap drones are stupid as ****.
Anyways i'll pick up the new BF when it comes out. Looks legit as hell. Just hope it runs smoother than the previous ones.

The open Beta starts on September 29th on all platforms. If you bought the limited edition Medal of Honor you can start playing it on the 27th.

So I've been playing the beta for a while, so here are some thoughts.
- I have no idea what half the buttons do, because there is no button map. Just found out on r/PS3 that you can flag enemies by pressing the select button. This would have been useful.
- Game doesn't really look that great. Might just be because its the beta.
- The character animations while you control him are very nice.
- Sniper rifle is probably overpowered. One hit shots are easy.
- Just one map, and only one game mode. Rush mode is the only one available. No vehicles either.
- Overall, pretty fun, but at this point in time, I don't see it being a COD killer. Just my opinion. I'm sure the addition of all the other modes and vehicles could change that opinion.

I agree that it won't be a COD killer. Their fanbase is too large and will buy any COD no matter what. As for the look of the beta Dice has said that it is an old build and that it will look different in the retail version. In fact they said that they intentionally scaled back the graphics on the beta. They just wanted people to get a taste for it and see if any issues pop up that they may have missed.
I'm really enjoying it, but playing the one map over and over is getting boring.

Not a big deal. It was the same way with Bad Company 2. If you buy the game new the pass is free. If you buy it used, it will require a $10 online pass to play multiplayer. It evens out since most if the DLC is free. I think a lot of games will go this way in the future; if not a monthly subscription.
