my little review after getting into the game a bit:

I am a COD guy mind you when you read this.

Positives- graphics are amazing, camping douches are limited, maps give a great variety, the weapons are fucking sick.Being a reconn, engineer, medic, assault specific player is great....much like the old PC game Enemy Territory. Overall the game is much more realistic than COD.

Negatives- Maps are pretty damn big, not easy to exit a game lobby if you dont like the people who are in the lobby, it is very hard in multiplayer if you are first getting your classes set up and dont have the proper equipment.

I suggest the buy after further review

Nice little breakdown. I also am a COD guy and when it comes out next week, it'll be a while before i log into BF3.

I wouldnt say campers are limited but it depends on the mode/game type. Hardcore games are filled with campers and rush usually has more as well. But i also really like the graphics. I did get my hopes up after seeing so many PC videos which had me under the impression it was 360. I like that the movement is smoother than BF games of the past. Sound is good as usual.

But i feel like theres more cons. Its been over a week and they still havent gotten the server thing down and that may be EAs fault, idk. Still tough to get into a game with a squad. Like mentioned it takes an hour to quit a game. You have to load the next map before you can quit. I feel like the weapon setup is a little sloppy. On regular mode rockets are useless. You can hit someone directly and not get a kill but you can put two into a tank and disable. I dont like how you can spawn on Jets and choppers. I am guilty of this because i love the Jets but they make it too easy for someone to just wait to respawn and immediately get into the jet while others have waited longer. Like ive said in the past, prone was the worst idea for a game that already is hard to see people sometimes. This game is either too dark or if you increase your brightness, theres too much of a glare. That highway map at night is trash and always lags. Theres a lot more to ***** about but thats off the top of my head.

A very fun game, better than i expected after playing the beta. But COD is and always will be king. The continual server issues just shows that theyll always be a step behind COD. Any other developer would have had these problems settled by now.

So, if you guys had to choose one, which would it be? Battlefield 3 or MW3?

Battlefield. I'll get MW3 eventually, but I just like Battlefield more. I like the pacing, the strategy involved and the over all mayhem. Nothing like running towards a Mcom and having shit blowing up all around you.

MW3 if you are looking for a more casual 1st person shooter that noobs can even do good in.

battlefield if you are looking to be challenged in objectives and if you are into amazing graphics.

either way, i like COD alot....and i just dont know why.

both are worth owning.

Just my opinion, but Battlefield 3 blows. I beat the campaign, 4 of the co-op missions, and am level 16 online, which took awhile. Not my cup of tea. I'm trading it in on Tuesday for MW3.

but buggy or rather unreliable as **** and just plain not as good, to me. It has hyped me up for Modern Warefare, though, if you can't tell :)
How so?

Outside of some server issues right around release it's been awesome for me. I haven't had any problems with servers in well over a week.

:obama:

Sounds like you are a run and gun MP guy who loved the dual Akimbo's in MW2.

MW3, if anything like MW2, will be great fun and arcadey but it's going to be tough to get me away from BF3 at this point. I'll rent MW3 to beat the campaign mode then wait and see on the MP.

If the MP is anything like Black Ops I'll be done with it. Black Ops was complete and utter shit. Servers always sucked and hit detection was a joke. And I loved MW2.

If there are anyBF3 players here head over to virtualsportsdaily.com. Go to the Arcade section. There are some platoons and squads there [FOOT] on PS3, and [AAC] on 360 that play pretty much nightly.

.

I still have problems with the " quick search" but never a problem with " server browser" getting in.

I never had a problem with Black Op servers, I hope that doesn't happen with MW3.

It's hard to compare the 2 games because its different objectives. It's hard to be a lone gunman in BF3.

1. No, I am not a run and gun guy. I am an M16 precision shooter who uses the map to his advantage.

2. I could give a flying **** what you think.

Then if you are that type of player BF3 should be your cup of tea by far over COD.

Im starting to get more into BF now. Just some of the small stuff that annoys me is not being able to back out of matches and the gun selection kinda sucks. either way its a pretty damn good game. I love COD and always will, but BF is still solid. Its nice to go back and forth between the 2.

I think that BF3 is the perfect switch it up game if youre a COD/FPS kind of guy. This game def grows on you as you go along and get used to it. Now that the server issues are gone it makes it more enjoyable. But being how broke i am, i think i might just trade it in for credit to get COD. I'll just buy a used copy a couple months from now if i ever get sick of COD and Skyrim.

So playing BF3 i always wondered how the hell people saw me when i couldnt for the life of me see them. Then i tried the infrared scope and it all became so clear. If youre on a foot based map, i highly recommend using this attachment. It seems kind of cheap but they should have put in some kind of cold blooded perk.

Also, IDK if i mentioned or asked this but is there a way to remove the hud from the Jets? when im using the machine gun or whatev you call it, all of the arrows, circles and crap just get in my way. My hud disappeared a few times and i always seem to be more accurate with the firing. you can easily see where the bullets are going.

im glad i have this game. both BF and COD have their pros and cons.......if you combined the 2 you would have a perfect FPS game.
