I'm with some of you, I'm not that interested in this game.

Plus, I have never enjoyed games that have vehicles in multiplayer. Vehicles are way too overpowered.

I didnt read through this thread since my last time posting in here but if the actual game going to look anything like the xbox beta? I prob played it for two minutes and then deleted it. The graphics were the Frank Omiyale of graphics. I thought i was playing Jet Set Radio. Prone being added to Battlefield was a awful idea. I do like how it runs smoother. It doesnt take 12 seconds to knife someone and running around doesnt feel very robotic anymore.... I was 100% gonna get this game but im really not sure anymore. The real product has to be completely different than the beta.

Good to see you back. Danomite posted a page or so back that DICE scaled down the graphics in the beta. It'll look much much better in the retail version. I played it for the extent it was available, and wasn't really blown away by anything, but that's probably just me getting sick of playing that same map over and over.

Xbox 360 Hard Drive Install Required To See The Real Battlefield 3 - News - www.GameInformer.com

Battlefield 3 should look pretty sweet when it comes out on October 25, but DICE warns that not having an Xbox 360 hard drive or not installing the hi-res texture pack will make the game look "standard def."

Speaking to GamerZines, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach says that the texture pack is on the game's second disc and is an optional feature, but necessary if you want to get the full experience. "The thing with the 360 is that you need to be able to give consumers a game where you don't have to install it on a hard drive, because there are 360s without a hard drive. So we need to give you the option of installing it, rather than just demanding it. You could call it a 'standard-def' version for the 360 if you don't have a hard-drive."

Bach did not specify how much hard drive space would be needed for the pack.

Who still has a 360 without a hard drive?

Once they fix the servers, I think it will be a great game. We kept getting bumped last night. Played for 2 hours straight today and it was great.

Most notable change: Can't blow up the M-Con Stations with rockets and C-4, and if they arm an objective, it's super fast to explode, I mean you literally have to camp around it, anymore than 15 sec away and it's not even worth going to disarm it.

Battlefield 3 - I've played 4-5 missions in the campaign... it's pretty cool in that it seems VERY realistic but you are on a set path and if you veer from the path you have to start the mission over. It's okay. The multiplayer is interesting. I've never played multiplayer Battlefield anything, so it is completely different for me and I'm sucking pretty hard. It definately can get frustrating getting owned by people higher level then you because their "class" layout has more to it then mine at the moment. Rush Mode is fun as hell, though, and I like some of the things they add that is more realistic then CoD. For example, the red laser sight actually extends beyond you and other people can see it from different angles so if you are playing against people who are good, that sight sucks ass. I played the co-op mission with a friend last night and one of them was great and the helicopter one was absolutely horrible.... I love the spec ops in Modern Warefare 2, so I'm hoping that the other levels I unlock once I beat the helicopter level will be better.

Also, I'm not sure about the servers, but they've been down twice since I tried to play and two other times, I had a ***** trying to get into a game and lasting throughout the whole game. I've also been kicked out of two co-op missions right before I was about to beat them. That is just unacceptable, to me. Also, when I back out and go into "My Soldier" to set my classes (basically assault and engineer only) to how I want them, I find that the next time I boot up the game, they aren't saved. Wtf is up with that?

I'm going to keep playing it, as I bought the game, and hopefully I get better at the multiplayer. That said, FOR ME and MY playstyle, this multiplayer won't even compare to Modern Warefare 3. It's smoother, the weapon options are a ton better, and I guess you can say it is more "arcade-like" or less realistic, but that makes it a lot more fun for me. I guess I don't understand the hype behind Battlefield. It's more realistic, but buggy or rather unreliable as **** and just plain not as good, to me. It has hyped me up for Modern Warefare, though, if you can't tell :)

To the bolded portions. You don't have to back all the way out to the main screen to set your classes. When on the deployment/class select screen hit square (or the Xbox equivalent). This will allow you to personalize your classes and vehicle options.

As for the second one the game and servers will pan out. All multiplayer FPS are buggy as hell when they come out. I remember MW2 was practically unbearable with all the care package glitches and people getting off map and sniping you. Battlefield will get smoother.

Thanks for the response... and yes, I have tinkered with classes on the deployment screen, but it doesn't save it after I turn off the game. I have to re-do everything I did the next time I play still :(

And I hope so about the servers!

Stopped reading after I saw that *** Matthews was included in as NFL stars...

Your loss, fat ass. Don't be sad that all of the Bears "stars" are old people who don't play video games.
