Foles has thrown INT's to EJ, Michael Joseph, and J Johnson in the last few practices and he has been noted to be heavy on check downs. Haven't heard of any Trubisky INT's.

Of course this will be read and go way off track, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of a M Trubisky INT.

no mitch has not thrown any ints but he has thrown some near INTS which we all know basically count as INT's....

Mitch hasn’t thrown an INT from what I’ve been reading.

He’s had a few nice deep balls the last few practices but the criticism is that he’s still missed some throws and had that big mental lapse stepping out in the red zone. Overall his accuracy had been trending up in 7-on-7.

Foles has been checking down much more but Nagy laid the criticism down on both of them.

There’s no reason to get too high or low on any of this.

Don't think I have seen either described as 'really good' yet. The general consensus seems to be that the winner of Chicago's QB competition so far is the rest of the NFL.
You're not listening to all of the players talk then.

I think the discussion was which QB was better, not that the QB play was really good....there is a difference.

Nothing we do here matters. This is just discussion for us. If you go by your logic, there shouldn't even be a message board, because it doesn't matter.
Well, I agree, you're free to discuss whatever. I was telling you my opinion on the matter. For me, I don't see a reason to just go in a downward spiral based off of something where access is extremely limited. It's worth it to be cautious, but, idk, I feel like spiraling downwards like some on this thread is a bit too much at this juncture.

That's not the same as saying don't talk about it. Those are my thoughts and feelings not a statement of fact.

oh well good thing other team defenses won’t be throwing curve balls at them then
Like Nagy has anything to do with D. Putting his QBs in bad positions will show him more and improve them even if they don't look purdy doing it. Never said it was the case. Just that it's difficult for reporters to really understand what's happening. The would include the QB comp or even which player is actually doing better on a a given day.

Sounds like we'll be trying to draft a QB next year from a pool of players that got cancelled this year.

Only the Bears, I swear...lol.

Pace has built an elite defense. There was zero talent on either side of the ball when he arrived, sans Kyle Fuller. Did he miss on Mahomes? Fuck, I already said he did. And pump the breaks on sizing up Watsons yellow jacket, he is 10 years of similar play away from even being considered.

If you don't see that Nagy is shit at playcalling and protecting a young developing QB then I can't help you. Whatever potential MT has certainly hasn't been realized by Inspector Gadget.
Pace has built an elite defense that has 0 playoff wins BECAUSE there is very little talent on the offensive side of the ball. And that’s his fault. This is like bragging about having a nice car that’s broken every other day. Sure it’s nice for show but it never actually does anything because it’s always broken. I blame Pace more for not giving Nagy a talented roster on the offensive side of the ball than I do Nagy for not being able to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

Of course this will be read and go way off track, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of a M Trubisky INT.

Two today.

“It’s 3-on-2, so you got a nickel, a corner and a safety versus two receivers and then you just work combo routes whether it’s different types of coverages,” Nagy said. “So it’s advantage of defense so if it didn’t look good on offense, it’s advantage defense the whole way.”

That should make it more palatable that both QBs threw picks in the drill — Michael Joseph intercepted Foles and Duke Shelley picked off Trubisky. Later in practice, Kevin Toliver tallied a takeaway on a Trubisky pass in 1-on-1’s.

As for the CCS gold standard of QB analysis, I think Foles still has more almost interceptions.

Nagys been exposed. A good dude. A guy who can lead guys and get guys to buy in. Also, way too loosey goosey. Not someone who can adjust on the fly or stray from his preferred method. Poor play caller. Not a good game planner. Great at drawing up obscure plays that should almost never be run. Can’t adjust to, develop, or maximize his personnel. Obviously, if he didn’t inherit an all world defense, he would quite possible be looked at as the worst HC in the league. All that said, I’d love to have a beer with him. Seems like a great guy.

I never really got the sense that fans had high hopes for the QB competition outside of a minority who were either a) mitch truthers who thought competition would light a fire under his ass or some shit or b) willfully ignorant of Nick Foles' career outside of the SuperbOwl run.

Everyone I know thinks both these guys suck. ?‍♂️

This. Foles is trash. Just like Trubisky.
