FT, you can smoke on a gas grill. If it has one, you can use a smoker box. Otherwise, just make a foil packet.

Some people will say food tastes different off a gas grill. If your taste buds are that refined, you don't belong anywhere near any type of grill.

btw Asparaugs off of the grill is amazing. Place thin asaparagus (can use thick but I recommend you shaave it like a carrot then) in a one gallon plastic bag with olive oil, fresh seas salt and fresh black pepper. Mix it up. Place on grill til done. If you are not a fan, over cook the asparagus. I tell ya its like french fries then

There is a difference, and a noticeable one when real charcoal is used. Unlike shitty briquettes, the lump charcoal smells and subsequently flavors meat like an open campfire.

Ok so the neighbors are heading to a baseball game (teen boys) so I brought it over without saucing. The ribs stuck some to the non stick racks. Guess I had to taste them. I submit the taste of my ribs as concrete proof of God. Delicious!

I touched the St. Louis ribs and the juices that just sripped out of them. Dang, I love BBQ. This is even before I sauce them.

Now my sauce is not homemade really at all. I take some habaneros and one roma tomatoe and blend it up. That will go on the St. Louis for the Hot Ribs. I would normally then take the left over sauce and just add Open Pit (I know most people like Sweet Baby Rays but I am the exception to that rule) and baste each side twice for five minutes a side.

But I am giving away 2.5 racks so no extra heat on the Baby Backs. I love my neighbors and do not want to kill them.

If I put bbq sauce on meat while it's still cooking/grilling, I use Open Pit. Can't really go wrong w/ either one though :hi5:

I grilled for the first time today :yeah: 15 friends and I met at one kids house since school got out today for summer and we had a backyard BBQ. I helped grill a few of the burgers :) really had no clue what I was doing to be honest but I figured I should try and learn. The other guys made sure I didn't **** it up or anything so all the food turned out great. We had brats, burgers, and hot dogs

The only way to learn is to make mistakes, bro...good that your friends helped you though.

Had a ton of left over ribs (Yep, I am old and can't eat as much anymore)

Anyways, I brought them over to a graduation party today and my mother in law reheated them on the grill. They were getting devoured!

Also got a chance to talk with my neighbor today. He thanked me and said they were good ribs too. Just for that it was all worth it.
