Yeah I actually secretly get off on inflicting pain to my own testicles.

hahahahahah but really, I was putting it on my groin muscle, and when I sat down, my balls were rubbing against it.

Sounds like the makings of a good country western song:)

Got assigned a college football game to officiate.

The last three weeks I've been attending classes that help to better understand the college rules. The ability to block below the waist, and who is restricted from doing that, and the type of block below the waist is amazingly difficult to grasp. I can't imagine how much tougher it is at the NFL level.

To me some of those rules are unnecesarily complicated and should be simplified, it's football dammit, keep it simple.

Three longtime Big Ten officials gave the presentation on blocks below the waist last night, and they even admitted it's tough. They also mentioned that a number of coaches are very confused by the rule changes, and one prominent (did not give the name) Big 10 coach just hopes they do away with all blocks below the waist so as to no longer complicate things.

I agree with Harbaugh, no more blocks below the waist.

It's ironical, the media, the NFL, the NFLPA, all of America is laser focused on concussions, and rightfully so. But if you talk to current players, it's all about the knees. They just want to keep playing and worry about the CTE later.

I didn't say it was Harbaugh.

I can neither confirm nor deny.

I just think the opinion on blocking had a decidedly khaki vibe. Also it seems to have come from a man that desperately wants cake.

I also think atrocious field conditions(are you listening McCaskey) really hurt players and there really is not any excuse for it. Fields ought to be pretty consistent throughout the league however they go, natural or artificial. That field in Chicago is and has been an embarrassment ever since I was a kid. And that is a long long time ago. It used to be "maintained" by the Chicago Park District. Don't know if it still is but back in the day, the Chicago Park District was as corrupt as it gets.

Want to almost eliminate concussions.....go back to the leather helmet with a mouth guard. Also, about a year ago we had a big debate about the practicality of design of a safer NFL helmet. I do not know why the Players Association is such a bunch of pussies because it is their life they ought to want to be protected.

I remember when no one wanted to play the Broncos when Shanahan was there. THe Broncos blocking back then caused many many players getting their careers lost of damaged by chop blocks, especially defensive linemen.
