I love Harbaugh and really wanted him to be the Bear's boss.

I would agree that he'd be a great coach, but I think his schtick may wear thin after awhile with most NFL players. I actually think he's perfectly suited for the college game.

Want to almost eliminate concussions.....go back to the leather helmet with a mouth guard. Also, about a year ago we had a big debate about the practicality of design of a safer NFL helmet. I do not know why the Players Association is such a bunch of pussies because it is their life they ought to want to be protected.

I actually think you're right about the leather helmets. You're not going to see players put their head down with a leather helmet.

Overall though, football is in trouble. I can only speak for Illinois, but there are already games being cancelled on the lower levels due to low numbers. Schools that used to field B-teams are now only seeing 25-35 freshman come out for football. And I'm talking about schools that have over 2,000 students in their hallways.

To me some of those rules are unnecesarily complicated and should be simplified, it's football dammit, keep it simple.

I knew football turnout was low but that is a huge change.
