Costco’s food is gross. I have made the mistake more than once. Convenient, cheap....and awful.

Never tried Costco food. Never will.

I don't know what that guy expects from a cafeteria, but honestly their only real mistake was getting rid of the Polish dog. Their all beef hot dogs are fantastic imo, nice snap, smoke and garlicness.

Maybe I haven't had those. Not sure. I have had their brats and they are inedible. Polish were so-so at best. Pizza is so-so at best.

It was especially funny to suggest one would go to eat there when not shopping. But, to each his own.

What is wrong with going to a place where you can get a hot dog and soda for lunch and have it cost you less than two bucks?

Especially since it is a high quality hot dog. I think you have pretty close to zero idea wtf you are talking about.

I agree. As Hot Dogs go, the Kirkland Dog rates VERY high.

I might disagree with most of the opinions you have on most topics but I am 100%in agreement with you on this.

The Costco cafeteria IMO opinion.

Pizza is a step up from Papa Johns so not very good, but cheap. Hot dog is good and cheap. The best thing they have there is the churro, fresh and still warm, the best part is that it's keto friendly.

Edited to add:
I've never gone there just for the cafeteria, but it seems like a reasonable thing to do. When my kid was in HS she would borrow my card, her and her friends would just wander around eating free samples, and that was their lunch. Now that is cheap.

You really think I don’t comprehend driving to a Costco specifically to save a buck on a hot dog?

You seem to insult people in most of your responses.

Are there not a million better places to get a dog closer to home or work?

I am not in Chicago, so no Chocago dog options at Costco.

Dude, go wherever. I just thought that seemed a really strange idea. I wouldn’t be fighting Costco traffic for a buck, but that doesn’t mean nobody would.

I’ve never noticed anyone doing that, but they may. Hell, I have seen people grabbing tons of free samples while not pushing a cart, so who knows?

I made a point to suggest it would be odd to drive there solely for the ready to eat food, and was blasted apparently for not agreeing it is gourmet quality.

I suggested it was so-so, and was told “it’s a cafeteria”, as though I should understand it is not expected to be good.

Which is it? Sheesh. ?

The only place closer to my house that sells hot dogs is a 7-11 and that is a terrible option.

If they saw adults grabbing free samples without pushing a cart I think that could raise an eyebrow, I was talking about school kids, if you've ever been in a Costco you have seen kids getting free samples away from their parents/cart.

Also how would you know if someone just went there for lunch or is getting something to eat before shopping, what's the tell on that one?

I found the suggestion odd as well, tbh. I'd have to drive 20+ miles to the nearest costco for a $2 hot dog. Or I could go to the grocer a halve mile from my house, buy a whole pack of hot dogs and eat 6 of them for $2 bux. I could even put on some toppings from my own fridge to spice it up. Possibilities are endless

Yea but those are CHIT hot dogs 2 dollars for 8 BarS garbage dogs.

This all started cause you said you were craving a hotdog. So why not halve a decent one.

Link?

You berated my idea about having a Costco hotdog for lunch because their food is "gross" and then admitted that you hadn't even tried the fucking hotdog. I think I had every right to say that you had no idea wtf you were talking about because you didn't.

I would just go to a restaurant that serves hot dogs, not a CAFETERIA

I think you should do that so you can have a lesser hot dog than you could've gotten at Costco for a buck fiddy nine.

So 8 or 10 dogs in a pack, 12 buns to a bag, what do you do with the leftover buns?
