Incoming Homerism...

I honestly believe that the Bears will come out and both of our lines (yes the offensive and the defensive lines) will play great and the Bears will quiet the naysayers... but on the flip side, Roy Williams will screw us with a couple dropped passes and maybe even a turnover. I predict... 20 to 13 Bears.

I very rarely quote my own posts but I want to bathe in this victory. Other than Roy Williams (who actually didn't play the whole game) I was right and our lines kicked ass!!!! And Urlacher had a MONSTER game...

Here's a fond fuck you to all the people that say he's too old.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Bears!!!!

Suck on this victory ESPN Experts!!!!

I wasn't really expecting the Bears to win, but I figured it would have been close.

No problem eating crow tonight.

I thought it would be a lot closer. The Bears offense snapped and their defense did great as well. I still say our CBs need to get better because they tend to still get burned but other than that things look good so far, lets see what happens next week against the Saints.

Great start for the season. Defense looks otherworldly.

Bears absolutely smashed them. Defensive line looked untouchable.

I honestly think there is room for improvement for the offense.

I think that was about 90% for the D. Not much more they can do. Helluva job ALL round today.

That is exactly how the Bears are going to win games this year. Offense makes plays, and defense forces turnovers.

It just happened to work about as perfectly as you could script on this day. Fortunate enough to be at the game, and it's the most fun I've ever had at Soldier Field. I don't think there was ever a point that I feared the Bears were going to lose.

They set the bar high in week 1, can't wait to see them raise that bar next week.

The scary thing about this team is that pressure. Our DL was in the backfield all night long. Peppers took over after we got a big lead...pinned those ears back and went nuts.

I'd still like our DBs to be better, but forcing throws early helps mask it.

I think it was 32 passes to 27 runs

Falcons on the other hand was something like 47 to 14.

Cutler will get killed if he keeps taking that many sacks.

But we were. Cutler's INT was when we should've been running the ball. We were still passing late.

I thought the OL looked better than they did at any point last season. He took 4 sacks (1 was a slide by him when we were running the clock out), but yeah, they can still improve.

Yeah, Bell is a man, and Barber's the same way. I gotta feeling we're gonna be hearing about his health the whole time he's w/ us tho.

The oline was great, gave him plenty of time, I thought Cutler took all the sacks by holding on too long.

a couple of 'em, yeah...but realistically, you can expect 3 sacks a game w/ most any team. Atlanta's defense isn't bad...regardless of how they looked today. John Abraham is a beast...At least 2 of those sacks were from good coverage/pressure.

That seemed to be the case on atleast 1 of those sacks. Plus you can throw 2 out because 1 was a slide by Jay & the other he fumbled the snap & had to fall on it to recover it. Can't blame those on the O-Line.

Impressive game, all-around. D-Line was ridiculously good & I expect us to be if not the #1 D, then in the top 3 again this season. I'm still concerned with the CB's (other than punching the ball from Turner, Peanut had a rather underwhelming performance; Jennings was getting destroyed 1-on-1 against Jones). Other than that, everything else was gravy.
