I think there is some truth to all this trying to fit Cutler into the wrong system discussion all over the Trib today, which would mean I was dead wrong last week regarding trading Orton for another Orton. Martz eliminating the roll-outs etc isn't working and isn't playing to the strengths of the QB.

All this $$ spent on Peppers isn't doing us any good b/c the Bears are running this circus like a 5 and dime store. Williams was expected to catch 40 passes this year, not even close to a #1 type receiver b/c the Bears once again bought from the clearance rack.

It still shocks me to this day that the Bears would trade a 2nd round pick for a guy we didn't really need [gaines adams, who wasn't even really worth a 2nd round pick] but they wouldn't trade for santonio holmes [who was traded to the Jets for a 5th round pick], Brandon Marshall [who was traded to the dolphins for a 2nd], or Boldin who was traded to the Ravens for a 3rd and 4th round pick.

I mean, come the fuck on... The Bears easily could have gotten one of those guys... but nooooooo.. We have to stay away from players that bring a little baggage... who gives a shit? They're good players that help the team. I'd rater have one of those guys that a guy who would get an A+ off the field but a C on it.

If you wanted a good number 1 WR it would have been done last year. Anquan, Brandon Marshall, or even TO.

Brandon Marshall didn't fit the Halas Hall mold at the time, too many off-the-field issues. Anquan should have already been here, that was a no-brainer JA missed on before Ruskin was hired to further screw things up.
