I know, but people complain about everything these days when there isn't a gaurantee we would have won anyway, especially with those early runs given up.

I agree but if I was the manager and we one the day before I would not change the lineup or maybe with slight changes but I wouldn't change the lineup completely like Pinella did yesterday after a win.

I still don't see how its safe to say we lost because of Piniella, Gorzelanny gave up 6, and that's a lot, even with out recent offensive numbers.

They got runs on errors which should't happen but I was not surprise the Cubs lost. The lineup completely sucked. I want to back Pinella up but I think he is losing more games than winning. With his moves. But it is just an opinion. If we had a new manager I think we will be in 1st and way over 500. Just saying.

I don't think the lineup was a problem, they scored a pretty respectable 5 runs.

we're still just not getting the timely hits that we need. we scored a few runs yesterday, but had lots and lots of chances to add on and create 3 or 4 huge innings. Lee is beginning to hit the ball better, the starting pitching has been tremendous for the most part, and the bullpen is actually starting to come into form a little bit (marshall, russell, stevens and marmol have all been very impressive). the Reds are bound to hit a snag in the road somewhere down the line, they just arent as good as they are playing, and we have a huge series this weekend with the redbirds. Right now that Cards are not scoring ANY runs, so we might be catching them at the opportune time.

Font is a pretty bad third baseman, but seeing as we're facing a righty it is a bit weird.

Much easier to be given that title since Mariano has given up a Grand Slam or so already, and will be retiring sooner than later.
