Last day in the pit. Nothing to do at all. I would leave but I really want the hours.

Create a new MonkBud account and troll the Bears forum.... I am sure no one will have a problem with that

If that's taken you could be the persistantly flamboyant Bill Pride or grumpy MontanaBill. Things could get really sassy with choices such as new69, Billsmick, Bill80. Craving an instaban? Try on bvanprooyen or billstrooper264.

But seriously don't do this, we like you here Monk.

So you dudes aren't going to believe this. I started this job on September 8th. A friend of mine that used to work with me at my other job calls me up the last week in October and says he got a promotion at his job and wonders if I'm interested in his old position. I tell him I'm pretty happy but I'd hate to not look into it at least. He's a really good friend of mine and I'd love to work with him again. So I send my resume and take the tour and everything and boom, they offer me $13000 more per year (plus the benefits are either a wash or slightly better) and a management position. I start December 1st. Crazy few months it has been. Everyone here has been super cool about it too.

:speechless:

Yeah man. Thanks. The original offer letter had my per month salary for whatever reason and the HR woman accidentally added an extra zero putting it at five figures a month.

Grats Monk.... it is amazing the pay bumps you can find moving jobs.... which is why it always boggles the mind how stingy companies can be with annual bumps or bonuses (or lack of bonuses at all)...

That reminds me, you should give clone a raise.

I hold no such power.... he will get the same annual review I do and the same disappointing % bump I do most likely.

The way companies treat IT workers you would think good programmers were desperate for work lol
