Correct....they have a hc + qb
The word you're looking for is TEAM.

You don't know what it is but it's not your fault. You're a bears fan. They only have these every now and then. So it escapes you and you have no idea what you're looking at.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Hahaha

I said they upgraded where it matters most....qb and hc

The rest were mostly there last year or draft picks.....and Moore was a bigger addition as a weapon than anything hou added

Their 3 win roster last year to this year's 10 win roster is comparable to the bears 3 win roster last year vs 7 win roster this year

But they added a 4k qb and hc...bears stayed with the status quo
They upgraded their entire-fucking-offensive-line.

The only starter on the OLine that returned from last year, is Tunsil. LG, C, RG, RT, ALL NEW UPGRADES ADDED AFTER THE 2022 SEASON.

Fucking he’ll, are you always this bold when you are this wrong?

Literally about a third of the league is made up of pretty damn good QBs that are way fucking better than Fields ever will be. You’re not winning a Super Bowl as long as you’re marching Fields out against guys like this.

Mahomes
Herbert
Hurts
Tua
Stroud
Stafford
Burrow
Allen
Love
Cousins
Prescott
Jackson

That’s more than a third of the league, and those are guys who are way better than Fields ever will be.

You’re making it seem like having a good or very good quarterback is rare.

I’ve got news for you: It’s not.

Ok, and how many guys on that list won a SuperBowl.....2 of them... So clearly just having a great QB isn't the end all be all, is it?

I mean come on, how can you take any top QB list seriously when Cousins is on it...What has he won exactly? Dak? Yeah, they threw for tons of yards and TDs and remind me how many titles they have? Hell, how many playoff wins do they have?

I mean come on Rex Grossman got us to a Superbowl. Rex had a ton of flaws, 100%, but he also had great coaching, good schemes, good line play, etc etc....Put Justin Fields on that Bears team, they probably win the Superbowl because that team, for better or worse, knew how to put people in position to win.

I am not saying that the Bears dont need better from the QB position, they need better play. My whole point has been the Bears are a failure ON EVERY SINGLE LEVEL. Changing QB's, yet again, doesn't automatically turn them around. The Play calling sucks, the play design sucks, the coaching sucks, the o-line somehow has regressed. Eddie Jackson couldn't tackle Stephen Fucking Hawking for god sakes and the man has been confined to a wheelchair most of his life.

You’re proving me right. You’re downtalking guys who are way better than Fields and saying, “But how many playoff wins do they have?,” when there’s no way Fields can beat these guys en route to the playoffs and a Super Bowl.

“Changing QB's, yet again, doesn't automatically turn them around.”

Agreed. Who said it does? Again, pro-Fields people are acting like the choice is

-Keep Fields and continue building a good team
or
-Draft Williams and do nothing

It’s a false dichotomy.

In any case, my point with the list was that some Bears fans are acting like it’s impossible to find a good quarterback, when literally over a third of the league is full of QBs who are good-to-very-good, or better.

There’s been no narrative in Houston that the Texans need to build around quarterback C.J. Stroud to give him a chance to succeed. On Saturday, Stroud became the fifth rookie in league history to pass for 4,000 yards, something he accomplished in 15 games as a concussion sidelined him for two weeks. The Texans went from being positively awful a year ago to winning the AFC South and Stroud did his part with a cast of players who didn’t get much attention before the season began.
  • WR Nico Collins: Former third-round pick totaled 70 catches for 927 yards in his first two seasons.
  • TE Dalton Schultz: Had one big season for Dallas in 2021 when he caught 78 passes for 808 yards and eight touchdowns.
  • WR Tank Dell: Rookie third-round pick measured 5-foot-8, 165 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine. He’s been on injured reserve since Week 12.
  • WR Robert Woods: With his third team in three seasons and in his 11th year, Woods is a shadow of the possession receiver he once was for the Los Angeles Rams.
  • WR Noah Brown: The former seventh-round pick entered his sixth year having produced one season with more than 16 catches and 184 yards.
Bears fans would have accused Ryan Poles of malpractice had he surrounded Fields with a group of skill position players that resembled this in 2023. The group of guys Jordan Love worked with all season was kind of similar and younger. For the 16th time since 2000, the Bears do not have a 3,000-yard passer. Rex Grossman (2006), Jay Cutler (2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015) and Mitch Trubisky (2019, 2020) are the club’s only 3,000-yard passers since Erik Kramer’s days in the 1990s.
The point is Stroud’s performance behind an offensive line that has had some moving parts raised the level of the entire unit. The Texans will be a contender in the AFC South moving forward because they have a star quarterback who should only get better.
Stroud averaged 8.2 yards per attempt, third-best in the league, and did it with a mediocre running game that produced 91 or fewer rushing yards in nine games. Fields could be poised for more improvement with better coaching and more players around him. Can Poles be the guy who passed on Stroud and the next Stroud, whoever that is.

Looks like butterball biggs proving my point....their "team" is a bunch of cast-off and draft picks (just like the bears had)

Only real difference makers were Stroud on the field and ryans/gm off the field.

What do you call the Houston Texans, or any group of 53 players, a coach, GM, and owner, in a particular sports league?

team - a group of players forming one side in a competitive game or sport.

It's not hard to admit your being an asshat for semantic purposes.

Why Fields still doesn't get flags for late hits? Not that would change anything, but this shows how pathetic this is...
