IF a deal is done soon, they could do 50 instead of 48 games and starter earlier (I'd rather get more preseason in)

Sounds like NHL cap at 62.5 Million, NHLPA at 64.3, NHL moved 2.5 mill, PA just 0.7.

Either way, that seems to be the biggest remaining issue and it is apart by just 1.8 million (though that is 54 million total for 30 teams combined)

ESPN reports that there will be labor peace for 7 years. Good enough for me. Also, season to start in a couple of weeks, more than likely 48 game season with finals pushed back a couple of weeks. All games to be played in conference.

The details.

Time for the NHL/NHLPA to earn the fans' money again. I expect in the end they will be just fine, might take some time but they have overcome 2 lockouts before (unfortunately). Both parties lost a lot of money over this entire ordeal.

Now the exciting part starts...figuring out who is on and off the team for the start of the season. I expect we might see some trades and signings w/in the next few days.
