NYCFC being linked to Xavi, Eto'o and Ibrahimovic all at once now, that would be seriously amazing but I think they only land one of them if any.

There are some reports out of Italy that Xavi has agreed to transfer to the Red Bulls after the World Cup... seems both New York teams are fighting hard for his services.

Why can't we fighting for somebody's service? Oh wait Dollar Menu owns the team, we go after third division no names.

my god, Ibrahimovic is a freaking beast. It would suck to see him land in NY, but it would be good for MLS . Thanks for posting this stuff btw.

Still a very small chance though.

But better NYCFC than NYRB.

Might not get all three of those players, but I like their thinking. They will have 3 DP's on the team and they won't be like the DP's we have/had.

crazy, i was more thinking along the lines of competing at a higher level and get him more notoriety. Plus, if he ever wanted to got o MLS, wouldnt Wcaps have rights?

I believe they would if it is within x amount of time.

However, if the Cosmos ever become the 3rd NY MLS team... which isn't completely out of question considering the Cosmos 25K seat stadium they are planning on building at the city limits or just outside it in Queens and the name recognition (plus NHL has the Rangers, Islanders and Devils) I believe they would get to keep his rights, especially since that would be long down the road.

One of those teams isn't from New York.

If you're referring to the Red Bulls... still go by that name.
If you are referring to the Devils... Harrison is technically a suburb of Newark which is in the New York metro area anyway, so they have as much a claim to it as the Red Bulls would and are also broadcast by MSG Networks in the NY TV market.
