Mortal Kombat 9 Drops 4-19-2011 Truck Tour Comes To Chicago April 16th-19th

I wish story mode was more like konquest mode from deception. :(

Story mode does seem very good but seems very very linear.

windycity7, if what you posted about Freddy and Jason ends up being true, I will shit myself. That would be the greatest idea ever for Mortal Kombat.

Though Konquest was much better, this story mode is very awesome still. It's like watching a movie and just filling in for the fights. Hopefully in the future titles they go with the Konquest style. Honestly, the Konquest mode wouldn't have fit in very well with this game.

I agree the story in and of itself is awesome but I hate that there is nothing I can control but fighting. I always liked MK but Konquest made me love it.

Still so far really solid game.

I hate the 360 controller for this game too. I find myself hitting back yet my guy jumps.

I also hate the tag matches in story mode seem almost impossible to beat the first time. I do love the game thus far though, but I do not like it as much as Deception... at least not yet.

Challenge tower is by far my favorite part.

As much as I am complaining about the story its pretty fucking awesome, I just hate that there is nothing to do but fight, no walking around or anything.

To your red stuff

The controller is so bad I am at the point I wish I would have paid two bills for the joystick. FIghting sticks are crazy expensive. I am sure I will get better at it, but man its just not a good controller which is odd because all in all I LOVE the 360 controller for the most part.

Sektor and Cyrax kicked my ass for a few rounds too. I think it took three fights or so to beat them. Its really cool seeing them before they become cyborgs.

Havent really played much 1 v 1 other than story and challenge tower so don't know who I would use. I did play a king of the hill room and used Kitana. She is the character I used the most in past games. Also like Nightwolf and Liu Kang.

Don't have Kratos :(

story mode/challenge tower/test your (sight, might, strength, luck) & online 1vs & 2vs2 & king of the hill mode(online only) its like having a mk party without the house mess....you can watch live matches in spectator mode while you wait for your turn....

The standard 360 D-Pad is complete crap and it's nearly useless for fighting games. I recommend you do what I did and invest in the X-Box 360 controller that has the transforming D-Pad. That's about the cheapest alternative.

The guy on this video sounds annoying, but it shows and explains the controller quickly.

If you're interested in buying it, I recommend you get it off Amazon if possible. It's about 20 dollars cheaper than the stores have it. It's a great controller, I really recommend it. The texture of the controller isn't as smooth and slippery as the standard control also.

PSN May Be Down For "A Full Day Or Two"

Written Thursday, April 21, 2011 by Richard Walker

Now this isn't the kind of thing you want to hear with the Easter holidays looming large on the horizon, and a few days of pure unadulterated gaming beckon. Sony has announced that the PlayStation Network may be out of action for a day or two, meaning that you'll have to keep your gameplay offline until further notice.

So, what's the deal? Apparently, there has been a network outage, and Sony is beavering away on trying to figure out what's going on before fixing the problem and getting everything back to normal

Patrick Seybold, Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media posted an explanation on the PlayStation Blog: "While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can."

So, keep an eye on the PlayStation Blog for information on further developments.
