only if you have a lot of time to play it ....its a lot more than just a fighting game

How so? I wouldnt play online because ive never been that good with fighting games. I might play some friends. But ive got the time, i just want to make sure its a game that would last and be worth the dough.

Now this isn't the kind of thing you want to hear with the Easter holidays looming large on the horizon, and a few days of pure unadulterated gaming beckon. Sony has announced that the PlayStation Network may be out of action for a day or two, meaning that you'll have to keep your gameplay offline until further notice.

So, what's the deal? Apparently, there has been a network outage, and Sony is beavering away on trying to figure out what's going on before fixing the problem and getting everything back to normal

Patrick Seybold, Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media posted an explanation on the PlayStation Blog: "While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can."

So, keep an eye on the PlayStation Blog for information on further developments.

PSN really does blow, and I own a Playstation too. This does suck a bit. I got the game for both systems and was looking to play with some friends of mine on PSN.

psn is rarely down ive had my ps3 for 4yrs+ & its been down for me maybe 3 or 4 times...once a yr is nothing & theres NO CHARGE

Online seemed to be a little better yesterday. Won a couple king of the hill matches while writing a paper for school. Was pretty nice there is a gap between the matches.

I think that Ermac is a bit overpowered though. Seemed to run into him a lot and he owns me every time.

Ermac (teleport repeat x10000)& Noob (teleport black hole repeat x10000000000000) are 2 of the cheesiest player on there ....aside from the almighty Kahn & his fucking hammer

Yeah its really annoying. I am trying to take the story mode and challenge ladder slowly and playing a little bit of solo ladder and some online stuff.

That way the game has a little bit of length.

Also how do you change costumes? I have unlocked them all and most the fatalities but no clue how to change outfits?

go into the neokrypys (spelled horribly wrong) & go to the character & activate it ...then on the select screen press start instead of x & you will have your choice of what they wear

Ahhh start button. I unlocked it in the Neckropolis.

First time I have read this about MK9. What do you not like about the game? I don't understand how anyone with interest towards a fighting game doesn't like it.

You can turn those teleport moves into a disadvantage for your opponent. When playing any character that has a teleport attack you have to play a little defensive when in mid/long range distances. When you block the teleport moves you get a second or two to unleash an open combo. Teleport moves are a big time gamble if done in excess.

First time I have read this about MK9. What do you not like about the game? I don't understand how anyone with interest towards a fighting game doesn't like it.

i saw that but thought he was trolling......because the only complaints i have heard were from sf fan boys being butthurt because mk ix is overshadowing that pos game they have

Hmm you are the first person I have seen not like it. I agree it's story mode is simply a fighting game hence why I don't think it's as good as deception which had konquest puzzle and chess mode. It's still a great fucking game. I do not regret buying for a second.

just my opinion. Im from the old school, and the only difference is there is more characters, a cheesy plot, and same old fighting with better graphics.

From going through the story mode, my early favorites are Kabal, Smoke, Cyber Sub-Zero, Jade, Kung Lao, and Kitana. Been having a hard time getting a lot of success with Nightwolf as I have in the past, but he's one of those hard to learn characters in the game. Now that I'm done with story mode, I can really start to learn the characters that I want to.
