mine froze right before kahns final speech in story mode but popped back in like 5-10 seconds later :shrug::shrug:...

now i just make sure to take the disc out when im not playing it & wipe it off before putting it back in the system........

Lucky. I probably would have sold it that very secon had it gotten corrupted.

Got to about the 185th level in challenge tower though I did skip probably ten easy ones just to try and power through. Hope to get to about 225 by tomorrow night.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive reception to the game, Mortal Kombat has millions of online matches being initiated worldwide every day, and we have run into some unanticipated technical issues. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios are aware of the issues with the online gameplay - specifically with "King of the Hill" and Ranked 1 v. 1 matches - and we want to assure our fans that we are focused on resolving online issues ASAP. We have added a "Technical Issues" section to our forum so please be sure to let us know what issues you are having so we can address those as soon as possible. Users will begin seeing improvements in online play over the course of the next two weeks. In the meantime please note that none of this will impact the single-player or offline multiplayer experience, and we greatly appreciate your patience!

It's nice to see intent of support for an online Mortal Kombat game. Can't wait for the lag issues to be patched up a bit.

Finally picked up the game this morning. Can't wait to play the story mode. I saw some videos on youtube and it looks awesome.

After playing this game for a couple hours, I only have one word to say: AWESOME!

I love how deep this game is. There is so much to do and unlock. It seems like hours upon hours of gameplay which I am really excited about. Most MK games in the past could get stale really fast. This one has lasting value and I can't wait to progress and see all the unlockables. What an outstanding game!

It also doesn't help that shao Kahn is a fucking cheater.

My brother bought the game....cool game. He played it 3 straight days and then i played him and won 8 of 10 fights lol

The online lag is continually getting better. I played about three matches online last night and had very little lag. It looks like Netherrealm is getting the job done finally. I still saw some matches in KoH where there was some nasty lag, but it could've been because of or both of the guys had terrible connections. The vast majority of matches I watched were mostly lag free.

This game still has me addicted.
