I think he’s capable of playing well. In a contract year, he’s going to play the best he ever has because the most money of his life is on the line. Not all players are capable of playing well. If he plays well this year, he could be looking at a contract of 15-20 mil a year. If he sucks, it’s probably more like 5-10 mil a year on a shorter contract with lesss guaranteed money. It’s the most significant year of football he has ever played. He knows that and is going to do everything possible to be ready for the season and every single game. You’re right that health may derail his season, but if it doesn’t, he’s going to be an expensive resign.

And the contract year is big for most players in most sports. I use it in fantasy sports all of the time. I picked Kyle Tucker over Juan Soto (who I picked last year) this year because he’s playing for a 9 figure contract. Soto is probably the better hitter, but Tucker is playing for more. Soto got paid and probably partied a little more than usual this offseason. He will probably still be great, but Tucker has more to play for, so he’s going to probably have a better year. It’s the same in practically every sport. The closer a player is to a possible big contract, the higher their level of focus becomes.

If he stays healthy and plays to the level of production he has thus far he's making 20m+.

The backup who played 5 games in trent williams absence last year made 15m/yr after 12 nfl starts.

Tackles get paid that big moolah as long as they aren't larry borom. Its hard to find even an average one in FA

At this point I want to find one guy big johnson has talked negatively about. Swift was cheeks last season and I defend him a lot.

Still think if jeanty is there at #10 its going to be jeanty. Smart move would be DE, best case scenario would be membou but doubt he slips.

The tweet literally has both positive and negative comments

Swift just needs to eliminate what he's had issues with his whole career but yeah, he's our guy

His only real worth is as a 3rd down back, where I think he's one of the best in the league.

As an actual runner the guy is pretty cheeks. Has absolutely no vision. Then again maybe this interior opens holes so wide even swift cant miss them

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
So our starting LT will be limited all offseason. Then we have a guy from Yale.

Bears are taking a LT at 10.
How about a trade down or using 41 plus 72 to get back into 1 for Simmons? He won't make it to 39.

Really good Dline discussion here. Have to scroll through a bit to get there
I think everyone has started to move Swinson up by now, but he's someone I like in the 2nd. I'm sure he can make it as a 4-3 end.

But at 10 is the question?

Everyone knows a RB will be drafted
I'm guessing in the 2nd. Either Judkins or Johnson. I do think they would take jeanty if available but I think LV is taking him. If Campbell makes it to 10, I think he's probably their guy. I just have no idea if he makes it there.

My projection on top 10 is:
Titans: ward
Cleveland: Carter
NYG: sanders
NE: hunter
Jax: Graham
LV: jeanty
Jets: Warren
Panthers: walker
NO: ?? Membou/Johnson/mykel/tet. Literally no idea at this pick
Bears: Campbell

I don't think many coaches ever say anything bad about players.

Mebou. Banks. Conerly or Campbell. Just get one of them. Not listed in any order of preference

If he plays harder because he has a contract on the line that means he doesn’t play as hardest all the time. Hardly a positive thing
It’s more about work put in while not playing.
