Don't know about at #10 but gotta think they take one with the first few picks. If they don't and they are worried about Braxton then they could always turn to free agency and sign someone like Tyron Smith or DJ Humphries. That's if either of them would sign for what could end up being a backup role.
The tackles blow after round 1 this year. But you can definitely get good RB’s and DL rounds 2 and 3. Maybe even later

I can't remember, will the Bears gets an extra and early veteran minicamp this year due to having a new coach? Didn't that use to be a thing? I vaguely recall those could happen before the draft even. If that is the case, it would be good for the coaches to get whatever eyes than can on their current trenches in figuring out those priorities between OL and DL.
They do

Yeah i remember seeing something like this and think you're right that teams with new head coaches get to do something with their players a little earlier than other teams.

From our view the tackles have question marks after round 1 but there's always multiple players who end up good/great players that nobody predicted to be true. We found a starting LT in Braxton in the 5th round. Is he a top LT in the NFL? No, but you damn sure can get by with him and win with him if the team around him is good enough.

Guys like Wyatt Milum, A.Ersery, Jonah Savaiinaea, J.Conerly, M.Mbow could all end up really good players. I actually really really like Savaiinaea.

Mike Tice comes out about how much he likes Conerly and since that i've seen Conerly rising on everyone on CCS's board.

Agree about RB's and DL after round 1 though.

A few of those guys are guards

I swear I have yet to see someone say something good about Ersery. The guy is always the one people dog on. Haven’t even bothered to watch because if that

The barron visit is interesting. Wouldn't expect that and wouldn't be thrilled if they took him over will Johnson if going db (wouldn't really like db in general)
Yea, he seems redundant to Gordon, so I wouldn't get the move. I'd prefer a true CB if going that route... which is Johnson.

Most likely but we don't know that for sure either. The one i'd feel most goes to guard would be Milum. Who's the other 2 you have for sure going to G?

Don’t know if I trust that. Could be agent speak. That’s supposed to be a long recovery injury I heard. But that’s a doctor question so who knows what’s actually accurate
His injury is similar but more severe to Kiran's, and IIRC both were injured in October.

We saw Kiran was not ready by camp. When he did come back he was almost immediately injured by the fact he still wasn't 'ready' or in football shape when he returned.

Simmons is the far superior player as far as college experience and overall play, but the idea he will be a real version of himself come October (let alone next year) is just not realistic imo

As a somewhat tangent, a great LT is very hard to come by. Most of the top guys are 1st round picks, and high ones at that. For that reason, I'm more tempted to grab that LT right now if one falls in my lap. Of course, this goes back to the scouting and being confident that guy even exists in this class. There is no clear cut guarantee for LT based on what I've gathered, but they absolutely need to strongly consider it if they feel he is available at 10.

Really good Dline discussion here. Have to scroll through a bit to get there
I know he doesnt fit Allens traditional mold for a DE but man I think Mike Green is the real deal and would love for him to be a Bear. Explosive and full belt of pass rush tools if you cant find a way to use a player like that then what are you doing.
