I know I replied to the GG post, but I did mean in consensus Iāve seen Will Johnson has fallen down on multiple draft boards. Turf toe and hammy arenāt really long term concernsā¦.
A CB is a premium position though, unlike TE. If Johnson is available at 10, he would easily be BPA especially over Warren or a G/T.I think it is the injuries⦠turf toe and then hamstring. Itās like an out of sight, out of mind thing. Thereās currently no one really hyping him up to keep his name in the headlines.
Ultimately, we donāt know the reality of what teams are thinking. This guy is certainly not that connected to have league-wide insight on something teams arenāt really sharing. That said, I rarely see anyone put him top 5 on their boards.
And being a blue chip doesnāt always mean you get picked over premium positions. Bowers was the 13th pick last year and there werenāt 13 blue chips.
Yes Iāve seen that since Decemberā I donāt think teams were in love with his speed if I recall correctly.I know I replied to the GG post, but I did mean in consensus Iāve seen Will Johnson has fallen down on multiple draft boards. Turf toe and hammy arenāt really long term concernsā¦.
If the winner goes to Green Bay to watch the draft, I'd hate to see what the losers get.
I found this interesting from Bruce Feldmanās mock. Burch is a player that fits the Allen mold for edge and a prospect Iāve mentioned Iād like to see drafted by the Bears. Iāve never seen his name in round 2.
ā37. Philadelphia Eagles (via Raiders*): Jordan Burch, DL, Oregon
Philly needs to re-stock its D-line. Ole Missā Walter Nolan would be a good fit, but I expect him to be gone by this point. Burch slimmed down for the combine to get to 279 pounds at 6-4 with 33-inch arms (he played the season almost 20 pounds heavier). As expected, he ran exceptionally well ā 4.67 in the 40. He was banged up for four games in 2024, missing three due to a knee injury. He still managed 11 TFLs and 8.5 sacks. No one doubts his talent and upside, but his consistency has been a concern.
āWhen he wants to go, heās a first-round talent,ā a Big Ten offensive line coach said. āHis deficiency is that heās really like a 3-4 defensive end, but I donāt think he sees himself like that. Itās like he just wants to be a speed rusher. He doesnāt play that hard. He has a self-governor on. He is a really good player, but I donāt think heās elite from what we saw and what I saw on tape.
āYouād see him out there at defensive end, and heās gigantic. Heās freaky. He can bend around the corner, but if he was really a dude, youād think he wouldāve come out by now.ā
Yup, I was agreeing that Warren being a blue chip over Johnson doesn't necessarily mean you would select him over Warren. Positional value will trump that every year.A CB is a premium position though, unlike TE. If Johnson is available at 10, he would easily be BPA especially over Warren or a G/T.
He has yet to check in.They get to go too but have to take the two Detroit losers and @ILoveDick
I was about to mention him.
Big athletic dude who played all over the place, but I think he's best suited as 4-3 DE especially in Allens system.
Watch his replays, pretty frickin impressive.
I'm hoping they take him early day 2.

I probably need more context. Sweat does his own offseason stuff too. I think he never comes to voluntary OTAs dating back to Washington. It's not the end of the world, but I guess I do agree that I'd rather he do stuff with the team. It's probably lowering his ceiling.
If stuff like this is true you can sadly cross him off the Bears list
His time on the name change bet should only include logged in daysHe has yet to check in.
Theyāve been saying ācharacter issuesā with him for months now. Regardless of what they are, we all know the Bears only draft Boy Scouts.I probably need more context. Who knew that a name change bet would have such an incredible residual value!
I didn't realize he shed weight... I had him as a hopeful sleeper option in the 3rd. He was a 5 star out of HS and was athletic enough to be able to also play college basketball if he wanted. Due to his size, I was almost thinking he would add a little weight and become a freak 3T. He's an intriguing prospect for sure.I found this interesting from Bruce Feldmanās mock. I'll take the critique, I won't be so lazy next go aroundThe key to a better response to your thread would have been to type a paragraph of two why you think Warren would be a great asset for BJ and the Bears. Just posting an image of it with no commentary is akin to a preschooler fingering painting a POS, shoving it in your face and walking away. No one gives a shit about your water colors, sport.
I say that as a fellow man who was Sportin' an Orton' in 2005/2006 as well.
