#2 most accurate mock drafter over the last 5 seasons
It's a little early for me with this depth of position and guys like Kaleb Johnson who could fit a similar roll likely there in 3. It's funny, if you look at few sites, the back ranking are all over the place. I've seen Tuten with a 2st round grade. Are Tuten and Johnson that dissimilar to Jeanty and Hampton? You could have Warren, or an OT and a pretty great RB in 3 this year.

Ok but they're 1-2 injuries from having a shitty QB, or shitty RB, or shitty secondary, or shitty DL, or shitty receivers. You don't draft for depth at 10. You're looking for the biggest impact player, not someone for in case there's an injury.

That said, I don't think Warren will have a big impact, but like others have said, if Little Ben wants him then he must have a plan.

If they’re taking OL at 10 it isn’t for depth. It’s to be the long term LT

My almost two weeks out hot take is this:

One of Banks or Conerly gets drafted ahead of Campbell. And Membou is OT1.
I do think Banks and Conerly will go higher than people expect.

Haha. It’s silly season officially
The Bears aren't that desperate for an edge. The points check out, but the Bears are looking to find multiple starters in the draft. Three for one in 2025 is rough. The only way I see them trade up for Carter is if he falls and the price comes down. Even then, I don't think the Bears would be in the market to move up. They won't pay a premium to go to No. 2 though.

This is probably the worst case for the Bears unless someone would want to trade for Shedeur. Still, if the board falls this way, I'm taking Grant or Green at 10. I'd even have to consider the controversial pick, Warren.

Can't see a dominant run defending DT with undeveloped pass rushing skills taken that high.
I covered the Green/Pearce dismal by not qualifying for the boy scouts.
Warren is a definite possibility based on grade but not necessarily need.

Some folks enjoy individual wins, some folks prefer to root for future wins. It's just how people are built, one isn't really right and the other wrong. It's sort of a big picture, little picture thing, we need both viewpoints.

I'm a big picture guy. I would trade a meaningless win in the hope that it leads to multiple future wins, but that's just me.

One less meaningless win and Aaron Donald is a Bear, things like that. But to each their own.
💯

Yea, I know... but the mock has him at 13, so Grant is in the ballpark. I rather get Tyliek in the 2nd due to value, but I guess I don't know if he'll be there. I'd actually be happy with a number of DTs generally, but not sure any are great picks at 10. I'd even be tempted by Nolen actually.

Pics of Dexter are coming in and he's slim downed quite a bit. Could they move him to DE?

Sure looks like it. Defensive tackle is definitely in play for the first three picks at least

Dexter played edge some in ‘23 after the Sweat trade annd excelled. Pretty sure he got a sack at edge. Not sure why Flus quit doing that…. I want to see all 4 guys move around to create mismatches.

He should probably fat up though so he can stop the run occasionally

He needs to get better but I really doubt he will ever be great at it. Poles is probably hoping he turns into a poor mans Chris Jones who was PFF’s #1 rated pass rushing DT but 36th against the run. They have similar builds and Jones sack total blew up his 3rd season

(I am not saying GD is CJ)
