My favorite teams
I'd be very happy with Harmon, Williams, or Sanders.Perfect timing considering the DT convo here.

I 100% get what you mean, but I think his stock is about as high as it can get. His hype couldn't be higher, cause his stats and the highlights... and also a fairly weak top end draft. But, his size and small school would've always limited him, I think. He does a lot like MJD to me, who was a 2nd round pick almost 20 years ago. He's not LaDainian. If this was 20 years ago, Jeanty might be the 1st pick of the draft.
I am thinking 4 tackles will go in the 1st: Campbell, Membou, Conerly, and Banks. No clue what the hell Biggs means. Every single scout has been 100% behind Membou being a starting tackle... big guys McShay, Jeremiah, and Brugler.
Been saying this the entire time (OL in round 2)
How is his use of an NT/1T different? All depends on Allen. He’s not running the same defense
**** no to Simmons.I am thinking 4 tackles will go in the 1st: Campbell, Membou, Conerly, and Banks. No clue what the hell Biggs means. Every single scout has been 100% behind Membou being a starting tackle... big guys McShay, Jeremiah, and Brugler.
If you wait til 39, you're probably taking Grant or a Hail Mary that Simmons can fully recover.
I’m not an X’s and O’s guy but what I read is it is different than the Lovie/Flus style we’re used toHow is his use of an NT/1T different?
I agree with those two. I love both. I was just pointing out the tweet says the 2nd is the round to draft a tackle. I don't think that's true at all.**** no to Simmons.
At 39 you’re looking at Jackson or Jonah. Both should be plus caliber guards and also have played LT. While that won’t be their position in the NFL, they could play there in a pinch.
From Finley at the Sun Times today…
He predicts the top ten.
“10. Bears — Penn State TE Tyler Warren
Yes, the Bears need help at left tackle — it’d be surprising if their plan is really to let Braxton Jones and Kiran Amegadjie fight it out, particularly because the former might not be fully recovered from ankle surgery until training camp. The fact remains, though, that the Bears think there are fewer than 10 top-tier players in the draft. If one makes it to No. 10, the Bears have to take him. If they draft Warren, they could worry about drafting an offensive lineman and running back with one of their two Round 2 picks.
Part of what drew the Bears to coach Ben Johnson was the creativity he showed in creating not only a playbook but also clever personnel usage. The fact that the Bears already have Cole Kmet as an in-line tight end will only encourage Johnson to move Warren around the field, and that’s a good thing. Warren played all over in Happy Valley, even taking 40 snaps as a Wildcat quarterback.
With the Lions last year, Johnson used two or more tight ends on the field 35% of the time, the third-most in the NFL. Having two capable tight ends isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.”

Mock draft: Predicting the Bears' pick — and the rest of the top 10
With the No. 10 overall pick on April 24, the Bears could justify picking a prospect who plays offensive or defensive line, tight end, running back or even cornerback.chicago.suntimes.com
Yeah I think it’d be more accurate if he said round 2 is the time to address the OL for the Bears.I agree with those two. I love both. I was just pointing out the tweet says the 2nd is the round to draft a tackle. I don't think that's true at all.
That's the point. You don't draft Nolen to only play 30-40% of the snaps.Walter nolen isn't depth. He's an immediate impact pass rusher on the interior that would garner the majority of the snaps.
They just used a 3rd on Amegadjie as well, but regardless... I would definitely take another LT that can replace another one who is on his last year of his contract like Braxton. What about a position where a new starter will be needed next year like LT? In a perfect world, the current LT should be the swing tackle. So what if it takes a half season for that transition. They win in the long run.
This team is not ready for the big dance in '25. They need to look to the future. Heck, a good GM is always looking to the future. That is sustainability vs one and done.
That's the point. You don't draft Nolen to only play hi. 30-40% of the snaps.
Thus he takes snaps away from Dexter AND the other 3T they just signed to a large contract.
This is called poor management of resources.
He'd improve the pass protection, run game, and be at least as good as Kmet in the receiving game.Well you can forget about your boy Warren then
What if Walter Nolen blows out his knee in training camp?? See, it makes no sense to create worst case scenario situations like what if Jarrett is suddenly cut next season. How does next year's DT class look? Where will the bears be drafting and will they have an opportunity to draft an impact DT next year?
So what if the Bears let go of Jarrett after this year, maybe he plays poorly, who knows, and then in Year 2 Nolen plays 70% of snaps. Is it then 'poor asset management' or is it getting ahead of a problem before there is one ??
Didn't you use the Eagles as an example? The team that just won the superbowl. They seem to draft trenches year after year after year even though they have good players there already....What if Walter Nolen blows out his knee in training camp?? See, it makes no sense to create worst case scenario situations like what if Jarrett is suddenly cut next season.
DT position is not that difficult to scout and you don't usually have to invest a top 10 pick to find one. If they suddenly need one in 2026 it won't be that difficult.
Is this serious or you just trying to be funny? What if Walter Nolen blows out his knee in training camp?? See, it makes no sense to create worst case scenario situations like what if Jarrett is suddenly cut next season.
