I honestly don't give a shit what happens to Dexter's snaps if they get a star DT. Dexter will never be a game wrecker
Five DTs playing significant snaps vs the Bears strategy of having three DTs and then trading for a player at the end of training camp. Not knowing a lot about the Saints, they lined up in the A gap about half the time the Bears did with the NT/1T. I checked 2023 too considering Billings injury. Based on that, my guess is Billings' snaps will drop some. The Saints generally seemed to favor using two 3Ts unless it was a clearer running situation.
I went back to 2021 and not one of the top 3 DTs in snaps even exceed 300 lbs.

Don't forget jalen carter@Xplosive
Chris Jones - outlier drafted 37th overall
Derrick Brown 7th overall pick
quinnen Williams 3rd overall pick
Dexter Lawrence 17th overall
Deforest Buckner 7th overall pick
Simmons 19th overall
Christian Wilkins 13th overall
Leonard Williams 6th overall
Vita Vea 12th overall
Ed Oliver 9th overall
You get the point? Do you NEED a top 10 draft pick on these guys? No, not necessarily. However, when you go down the entire list of the top guys it seems like 90% or more were all first round picks.
The list goes on and on nearly all the best ones are first round draft picksDon't forget jalen carter
Chiefs are lucky Jones fell that far due to character concerns. PFF had him worthy of a top 10 pick.@Xplosive

Good stuff. I remember his dramatic body language things he did last year bothering the hell out of me.
The segment in the middle where Poles talks is must listen stuff IMO. Poles actually goes into Caleb’s body language.
And big fatties that will, or should, be around in the early 2nd that you like if we aren't able to get Grant? T.Williams, A.Collins, O.Norman Lott, D.Walker, J.Phillips? Also skeptical on the shelf life is on a NT whose best trait is high motor. Dont think the '23/'24 version of Billings can last long into his 30s. Thats a big draw to grab a guy like Kenneth Grant for me if they can talk someone in the late teens/early 20s to trade up to 10.
That pushes Green up, and Uman as well. Wow. Pushes Shemar and Mykel DOWN.
I have to pay for ESPN+ for the UFC Fights.Ah yes, that too. I refuse to pay, haha. ESPN's paid content is hard for me to get around.
And you draft a guy when he falls because character is no better or worse of a way to predict whether or not or guy will be a bust.Chiefs are lucky Jones fell that far due to character concerns. PFF had him worthy of a top 10 pick.

PFF scouting report: Chris Jones, DT, Mississippi State
Mike Renner and the PFF draft analysts breaks down Chris Jones ahead of the 2016 NFL draft.www.pff.com
I like Ersery in the 2nd. I think he has as good a chance to be a starting left tackle as anyone not named Campbell. I don't think I would take Simmons even in the 2nd. Too many red flags with him.I am thinking 4 tackles will go in the 1st: Campbell, Membou, Conerly, and Banks. No clue what the hell Biggs means. Every single scout has been 100% behind Membou being a starting tackle... big guys McShay, Jeremiah, and Brugler.
If you wait til 39, you're probably taking Grant or a Hail Mary that Simmons can fully recover.
And Aaron Donald was kinda a thing.Don't forget jalen carter
Good call, I forgot to mention him. He has a ton of potential.I like Ersery in the 2nd. I think he has as good a chance to be a starting left tackle as anyone not named Campbell. I don't think I would take Simmons even in the 2nd. Too many red flags with him.
You realize this invalidates your argument right?
He is also championing taking a TE at 10 and I’m still waiting for this huge list of TE’s drafted top 10You realize this invalidates your argument right?
You said “DT position is an easy to scout” and then implied it would be really easy to find a DT anywhere in the draft next season.
What would being selected in the top 10 matter then?
DT is a ridiculously hard position to scout. I’m starting to wonder if your a brilliant parody account
I like him but not at 10.
Well, this moron certainly understands it as I’ve stated it many times. My point is that somehow Bears fans don’t want to draft any position at which we already have a player on the roster and that kind of makes it hard doesn’t it?The bears have a lot of good young players at many positions.
You dont replace developing players you just drafted a few years ago. Only morons dont understand it takes time to develop draft picks.
Dexter is certainly one of those players. He has a very high upside, most DT's take 3-4 years to breakout.
I’d say that worked out fairly well for them! The Rams selected Aaron Donald even though they appeared to be set at DT at the time.
He’s an entitled ****.Kid is on the next level mind game wise, total reverse psychology. I don't blame him and he probably doesn't have to worry.
