Bullshit, Jack Campbell was excellent last year, better than the LB your paying top dollar for.

If you dont factor in pass coverage, sure.

TJ Edwards is a much better player than he is

Congratz on drafting a guy who's basically a 6m a year player in FA at #19

Honestly im not sure he's joking. Poles loves his traits.
As he should…he also likes his tape when talking about 1st round picks. When has he ever drafted a no production/high trait/all upside only player in the 1st?

He hasn't had a ton of opportunity. I would be pissed if the pick was shemar but wouldn't be surprised

I wish I had that confidence. If Allen has much pull, it's very possible because he's exactly his prototype

Prototype size wise, sure. If that’s Allen’s guy he needs his head checked and poles and BJ should be lobotomized for listening to him. BJ himself said he’s all about the tape and then falls back to measurables to confirm/deny what he sees on tape. The Bears have drafted well under Poles in the 1st round and for the most part, the 2nd round as well. They’re not drafting a bust in Stewart but time will tell who’s right or wrong

It's always possible Stewart could figure it out. Nolen seemed to excel leaving a&m. Scourton was better before a&m. The coaches certainly seem to get the least out of players, but his production and instincts just seem bad.

That’s the beauty of the draft. You could basically say “‘X’ player could always figure it out or ‘it’s not too late’ for this guy” but betting on a guy like Stewart early has gotten plenty of people fired. Maybe if you wanna take that chance in the 2nd…but in the top 10? No way man. It’s not even complicated

Kyle Long is on this. Very entertaining. Banks is his #2 OL. Membou is #1
“Kyle Long. Former 1st round draft choice. Played in the league. Was with the Chiefs…”.

What? Were his seven years with the Bears so forgettable that he’s now considered a former Chief, despite never playing in a game for them? Talk about the Bears getting no respect…

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Banks is the biggest mystery of the draft to me. I’ve said before that he looks great every time I watch him and all the data suggests he’s great… I said at the start of the offseason that he was a guy I expected to shoot up when scouts started to watch the film and the opposite happened. The scouting reports are usually not overly negative and read like he’s good and then they slap you at the end with “he’s a guard”.

What’s weird is he’s played better than Campbell by any type of measurement you want to use, and he’s physically measuring better… yet… the scouts seem to trust that Campbell can overcome it all and Banks can’t. I guess that’s the difference between me and a pro scout.
