Exactly. This talk of Warren at 10 is crazy to me.Bowers was a man amongst boys from day 1 and this was when the SEC was still the unquestioned king.
I've never compared him to bowers because I know he's not nearly as good. I prefer colston to Warren. That doesn't change the fact Warren did sit behind other TEs. And yes that does call into question the type of prospect he is but also coach Franklin doesn't have a clue with offense. Not really. For comparison, Bowers was the unquestioned starter pretty much the second he walked into Athens as a freshman. And everyone knew it. The fact Warren had to sit behind those guys-guys that would have had to fetch Bowers water-should concern folks that he didn’t really produce until year 5.
Point is, Warren isn’t even in the same galaxy as a prospect, and except for me and some others, a lot of people thought he shouldn’t have been drafted as early as he was right after the draft.
Warren is one of the few picks at 10 that would be incredibly stupid, imo.
I hear ya. But tbf, Bowers had to play mostly with the immortal Stetson Bennett.I've never compared him to bowers because I know he's not nearly as good. I prefer colston to Warren. Yeah I don't want any TE in rd 1. BUT if they do waste the 10th pick on one, Loveland actually gets open and is a good run blocker. Two things that Warren isn't great at.I hear ya. But tbf, Bowers had to play mostly with the immortal Stetson Bennett.
I brought up Bowers because I would have been happy with him last draft or this draft because of the dominance he displayed.
Any TE at 10 needs to be that once in every 5 year TE prospect. I don’t believe any TE in this draft meets that qualification.
I’m more concerned that some peoples links aren’t working on hereAlright, what happened with @Montucky ??
I think we finally found a job for @ILoveDick when he gets out of prison!

They’re gonna be collecting poop samples before we know it.
If they make a huge mistake and use a third round pick on a guy with no speed, you could see them getting a guy with speed later? Yeah then you’d have to try to mold those two people into one human being to make them worthwhile.I said I wouldn’t be opposed if they missed out on jeanty. Like if they went skattebo in round 3, I could see then drafting a speedy and more athletic RB in round 7 if they liked someone.
I like Loveland as a player. Hell, I think Warren is a good player.Yeah I don't want any TE in rd 1. BUT if they do waste the 10th pick on one, Loveland actually gets open and is a good run blocker. Two things that Warren isn't great at.
Btw, the line of McMillian cut in half already last I checked. I put Mykel as a top 10 pick and that cut in half too. I can’t wait to see none hit on Thursday, haha.Well now I’m busy looking for 227 pound Nose Tackles. I think I might have found one at Woodstock North. He’s not draft eligible!

I think he’ll be better than Kmet and probably quicker. But I don’t think his ceiling is as high as some believe; he’s probably a safe pick but he won’t move the needle as much as some believe. If BJ wants him or Loveland for his offense, then take him (hopefully in a trade down). But I’ll be glad to not hear his name again after Thursday night if they don’t take him.Exactly. Is 4.2ypc really a “force” though? Gibbs has the same situational & personnel run splits as him and averages about 30% more in ypc. He’s a 4.65ish guy just like Monty. BJ turned Monty into a force in Detroit and I think skattebo is actually better overall. Ideally, you could get him in the 4th, assuming the bears could acquire one.
This is what my life has been missing.

I’m one of the few that wish they had taken Bowers over Rome. And I’m a fan of Rome, and think he will be a really good WR. But Bowers is one of those blue-chip players you can build an offense around. Players like that are few and far between.I was one of the people who would have been fine with Bowers at 9 if Rome wasn't there. He wasn't my choice, but i couldn't fault a GM for taking a true blue chip when the chance presents itself. That said Warren is oneof the few choices at10 I will hate, and that's in a weak draft. Him or Stewart and I'll genuinely be irritated.
I think both will probably be better than Kmet. But imo neither will be some elite top-tier TE for years to come. If, say they had taken someone other than Rome last year and Bowers was in this draft? Thats a no-brainer pick all day long.I think he’ll be better than Kmet and probably quicker.
