For sure I agree, but we have seen this off season guys that didn't earn it getting huge pay days on the OL, specifically at left tackle.

Braxton is probably going to get PAID by someone if he can show he is even similar to how he has been before this injury. I am not so optimistic its even gonna work out for him this year, and that is the main reason I would look to get someone in rounds 1-3 to play tackle.

I've come around to the idea it would be okay to draft banks at 10 because if he would deserve a chance to compete and play LT, and if it really doesn't work out for him he projects better than the rest of the tackles this class to play guard, and he would likely end up playing a fair portion of this year at either tackle or guard.

That being said I agree with you, I hope they take a talented DL as there are quite a few of them there this year. IDK why the media isn't talking it up more, but all the chatter seems to be about Jeanty and Tyler Warren which I really don't see it for either of these players as elite prospects.

I'm still holding out hope for Nolen, jalon walker (likely gone), or Mike green
Braxton is the type of player that you try and get a comp pick out of for all of those that are big on comp picks. He shows promise, but hasn't quite got there. If you can draft a replacement you do that and let someone over pay for him and reap the reward.

I can live with Jeanty at 10 but a trade up would make me puke!
Yeah it’s an awful idea. The only way I could almost stomach it would be if it only cost a 3rd or a 5th (unlikely) and the bears traded down in the 2nd and recouped whatever they gave up. Still, just not a good idea and I am definitely against it.

I'd rather take membou and try him at LT. He has all the traits to be a good LT.

Reminds me of when wirfs was in the draft and they weren't sure if he could play LT
Yup, speaking of Wirfs, I think this one sold me:

According to NFL Research, Membou is one of four offensive linemen ever to jump better than a 30-inch vertical and run a sub-5.00 40 at 315 pounds or heavier. Two other men on the list also happen to be two of the NFL's best blockers currently: the 49ers' Trent Williams and the Buccaneers' Tristan Wirfs. That's pretty good company.

This also helps:

His critics say he is lazy. I get Nate Davis vibes I don’t think the Bears can take that kind of risk. Banks fits the mentality they are looking for if they go OT I believe he will be the pick even if Membou is on the board.
Who said he's lazy? I'd think the Beast would at least mention that.

Since it's apparently a lock that the Titans are keeping the pick, anyone have the balls to lay down a massive bet with -20000 odds on Ward?

What’s your complaint referring to now? Is it the love of a top 10 RB or being too transparent?
A Top-10 running back that succeeded against the worst rush defenses in the country week in and week. Ashton Jeanty is going to be the market correction to Saquon Barkley.

Jeanty does not have one elite quality. He's not as fast as Reggie Bush he's not as elusive as Reggie Bush and he's smaller. Jeanty is a good player but there's nothing he does that we haven't seen before. We've seen 100 other backs run the ball the same way he does. He just racked up video game numbers against bad players.

Then he shows up in the biggest game of his career against power-4 talent and was shut down.

Jeanty is not a freak. Derek Henry Adrian Peterson Saquon Barkley those dudes are freaks. Tell me one thing Jeanty does better than Bijan Robinson?

Jeanty has jumped a TON on draftkings in the last few days for the jaguars. No clue why they would take him. They should be looking at defense, but the team is a trashcan and will remain one with their shitty HC/GM combo so nothing shocks me there.

Its also dropped a ton in the last few days to the raiders.

Honestly, at this point I have a feeling he may last to 10 unless a team trades up from behind the bears.
Yep, and if Jeanty drops to 10 the Bears will take him. Don't think Johnson will be afraid to take an RB there.

If Jeanty is the pick, it’s more Poles accommodating his new coach than something he would have at the top of his list.

You’re just lashing out. I’ve said all over this board I want Banks Jr. at 10.

Plus, Jeanty is a much better player than you’re suggesting.
