Yea, I can't give up both 2nds. I expect 10, 39, and 41 to all play a significant role on this team by next season. Can't consolidate that for one guy. If the Bears were a legit contender, different discussion, but can't do that when the Bears have so much work to do on this roster.

I hope the Bears don’t trade up at all. This isn’t the draft to do that and the 2 second round picks are needed to fill out the roster with some very good starters.

Yes, common sense is acting like it's the exact same players as last season and that the new coaches and scheme are good but not the trenches.

You think the trenches are good enough?

LT needs a long term answer. Edge needs at minimum more depth and realistically a quality pass rusher. DT needs more depth and some youth. IOL needs depth.

My head hurts a lot trying to read that. Btw, if he's trying to capture the right player at the right pick, Bears moving to 5 for Jeanty, I'd doubt the Jags would take Banks at 10. That clearly becomes Tet to me... wild card would be a TE.

Poles better not be trading up for a RB! This is a great draft to have 2 second round picks. I would prefer a trade down to acquire a 3rd second rounder. Poles scares the shit out of me when it comes to his handling of draft picks.

The Bears should be able to add 3 absolute starters out of the top 4 picks. How they can even consider that trade is beyond me.

4 is the highest it makes sense for the Bears to trade up as it would only cost one of the 2nd round picks. I would only consider going that high for Hunter or Carter.

Personally though I would only go as far as 6 as that should only require our 3rd. And that would only be for Hunter, Carter or Graham.

I think there is only 1 person on this board who does not see things the way you and the rest of us are seeing it. The trenches are FAR from being a finished product. This is a great draft to address these needs.

This. Carter would be great but I'm not giving up both the 2nd round picks in this draft. What might be interesting is if you started adding next year's picks as part of the compensation...

Oh, I don't know if it gave the reference to who said it, but this is from Pelissero. It's a direct quote he put out in the article below. I generally figure these guys play both sides of the fence as much as they can, but this is fairly scathing.
