Please go on record with what RBs from this year's draft will go on to have better careers than Jeanty. Do you feel any are worthy of the Bears drafting in the first (if they trade down) or in the 2nd?
I've said from jump I want a combination of three guys drafted to play offensive and defensive lines. I don't care in which combination they go like Graham Stewart Zabel..... or Banks Booker Pearce not saying that's my prediction of how the draft will fall just tossing out names.

They need OL and DL depth.

I'm done fucking around with trading 6th round picks for guys on the back end of someone else's roster before week 1.

Poles has his man crush and he might trade up to get him. Poles doesn't see these players through the lens of a football player/GM role he sees them like a little kid. He gets excited and he's immature about it.

The Bears need help and depth on both lines and Poles is chasing trends.
The Bears addressed both sides of the line with veterans this off-season. Are they finished,no.

Short answer is: Not where he is today. Long answer is partially below.

I'll watch the vid later today. I want to point out that a day 3 prospect I really like is Ollie Gordon, who is touted as a much better prospect in the too-early rankings that you posted. Kind of goes to my point of one year of hype being something to arise suspicion.

I see that Jeanty had quality stats a year ago too. I think that if we were looking at him in the second round, that it's a no brainer. But I remain suspicious of drafting him in the first round, and remain of the belief that getting someone for the trenches (O or D) from a big program is the best thing for this team.

If I remember correctly the backs talked about for this draft before last season included jeanty, Jaden ott, Ollie Gordon, Judkins and Henderson. At least that's a few names that stick out in my mind

I don’t know what is more pathetic if that trade up rumor is true.

1. Poles thinking he is one player away and offering 3 picks for one.

2. The stupid Giants GM declining it.

The battle of the dumbasses continues.

I must have been out of the loop then because I only heard of Jeanty this past season. And, to be honest, that shouldn't be a shock I'm out of the loop on a lot of college football. I tend to watch more college ball in the off-season to watch the players being hyped for the draft.

I’ll take the field vs Jeanty. Just let the Jags have him if they want. Most I’d offer to trade up for him is a future 4th.

I'll just spoil it, but they kinda liked him. I think he was a "top 64" prospect and ranked 5th overall I think? You don't necessarily need to watch or listen. I just skipped to Jeanty and listened, but even that isn't necessarily needed to just get the general rank.

I do think the rankings from a year ago are always interesting. I bookmark them cause I want to see what happens in a year and get a feel of what it was a year ago. It maybe isn't good practice, but something like this is why I was a bit higher on Will Johnson... which could be a mistake.

Yeah if this is true, shows how moronic both of them are.

I want some insurance in case they can't get an extension done for Thuney or Jackson isn't as good as they thought or Jones isn't fully ready for Week 1 or Grady Jarrett regresses because of age or the DE from the Colts is our version of Corey Wootton.

I'm sick and tired of scrap heap guys. There's been so many guys they've pulled in last minute in camp they hope will work out. I want to build up this team once and for all.

Who do you want? Do you have favorites or just want trenches and trust their evaluation?

When it comes to the first round, looking for sustained success against top competition eases the concerns that show up at the combine.

Seems that if was viewed as a "top 64" guy, a year of play could support a boost to a "top 32" ranking. I just would rather go with someone a little more bona fide.

I hope the Bears don’t trade up at all. This isn’t the draft to do that and the 2 second round picks are needed to fill out the roster with some very good starters.
I hope they do, several many times. Just so I can come on here and watch grown ass men completely melt the **** down and throw whiny temper tantrums worse then my god daughter, who's 7.

Wouldn't it be nice for once to see the Bears do something like trade down and then grab Walter Nolen and then have someone like Stewart fall and they trade back into the first to grab him because of production concerns and you stack your defensive line for the next decade. Or you grab the kid from Minnesota and Zabel and you develop them to be your future on the offensive line.

You theoretically have two WRs that could play here for the next 5 years you have a RB that can get it done. Build up the fucking trenches.

I think you can count on that no matter what they do.
