Oh this is simply beautiful thanks for posting this.

"Is another player trying to fight his way into the Top-100"

That's an amazing statement. He wasn't even among the Top-100 at the Senior Bowl but Poles took him at 56.

Here's Mel Kiper Matt Miller Scouts Inc and Dane Brugler none of them had Trapilo as high as 56.

Offensive tackles always go a bit higher than these rankings though. I’d be surprised if there’s a single OT that was drafted lower than their big board rank.

Also, Miller and Jeremiah had Trapillo higher than Ersery. Two rankings aren’t the end all, be all though. I did like Ersery a lot, and knew nothing about Trapillo. So, all things being equal, I would’ve picked Ersery. But, the Bears did pick up extra draft picks by moving down and still landing a lotto ticket OT.

Ersery's athletic ability sets him apart. Offensive tackles with his size, speed broad and vertical have gone on to have great careers.

Does that mean I think he'll have a great career too? No

It means I'm going to draft a guy in round two who has a unique quality that no one else has who also is about even as a prospect with the guys rated between 32 and 75.

Plus Ersery is Black and not white right? According to you, his race matters. You never have explained that one.

Matt Millers early 2026 mock.

17. Chicago Bears

Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame*

The Bears were rumored to be interested in Ashton Jeanty had he fallen to them in the 2025 draft, so perhaps 2026 is when they'll get a running back. Love was one of the best running backs in the country last season as a sophomore, rushing for 1,125 yards and 17 touchdowns. He is a bruising runner at 6-foot and 206 pounds but can also break off big plays -- see his 98-yard TD against Indiana in the first round of the playoffs -- and shake tacklers in space. That, plus his receiving skills, makes him the perfect feature back for new coach Ben Johnson's offense.

So what you're saying is you don't know what SI has become.

SI like Yardbarker is an automatic content aggregator. No one sits at SI.com and goes wow this guy is a fantastic journalist from a truly credible website we love his expertise on Ozzy Trapilo what a fantastic piece of inside analysis.

No it's an automatic aggregation website that generates content numbers. Just like my stuff is all over Yardbarker.

Can you show where SI has picked up your posts? If not, the BC guy is still more credible than you. Sorry.

Please see @playthrough2001 post for others that praised Ozzy's Senior Bowl.

So your whole argument about no one having. Ozzy as high as 56 doesnt apply to Ersery because you like him.

Imagine arguing a CCS poster can ignore where draft pundits have a player ranked but Poles and Johnson cannot ans must stick to the draft pundits board.

Draft pundits are also just looking at things at a general national level, not team specific. Sure, they can talk to various people and get some info, but it is not direct, 1st hand experience to know how a given player fit scheme, was able to interview or talk concepts, techniques, etc.

The other thing the draft pundits also like to do is have endless small trades in hand to move to an exact spot, like "This player could have been taken 2-3 spots later". A) Teams can't always trade back to dial it in that close and B) Gaining an extra late round pick is often not worth the risk of another team then taking the player because you tried to get too cute in dialing in the exact spot on some pundit's draft board.

He had that 98yd run on 1 leg. The other leg was nowhere near 100% and his injury in the last game of the season vs USC would have shut him down for the year if it wasn't for the playoff.

This is correct. Positional value will push premium positions up the board over less important positions. Shough went in the 2nd round(correct?) and he was "ranked" 75th overall. This shouldn't be hard for some to grasp but it is CCS.

Trapilo had a smiliar 10 yard split and a considerably faster short shuttle and 3 cone.

Are you fucking stupid?

Do you expect OT's to be running 40 yard dashes on the field?

Trapilo has more lateral agility than ersery which is proven by the 3cone/shuttle drills. Only you would judge an OT's athleticism by a 40 yard dash and a fucking broad jump.

I’m planning on attending the Bills/Bears joint practice and doing one of my camp reports if my schedule allows.

The LT reps will be a focal point for sure.

Plus, I’ll be keeping on eye on Loveland and Burden.

Maybe I should invite Daniel.

I'm certain you'll be able to ascertain the future Pro Bowl status of Ozzy with your keen evaluation skills.

So lets break down this list to where the player was actually drafted:

76. Royals - 133
77. Horton - 166
78. Harvey - 60
79. Molden - 161
80. Ewers - 231
81. Williams - 85
82. Milroe - 92
83. Williams - 87
84. Ferguson - 46
85. Howard - 185
86. Mukuba - 64
87. Ransom - 122
88. Stewart - 90
89. Williams - 69
90. McCord - 181
91. Sanders - 41
92. Grant - 99
93. Kennard - 125
94. Skattebo - 105
95. Riley - 131
96. Fairchild - 81
97. Pegues - 180
98. Walker - 121
99. Carter - 119

Interesting rankings. Its almost as if NFL teams should not (and will not) give a **** about what online draftniks think about prospects.

Mel kipper thought that johnny manziel would be amazing, didnt he?

Matt miller is constantly wrong

Dane brugler is the best in the business and also...constantly wrong.

Almost like they are just media guys, if they knew what they were actually doing they would be working as head scouts instead of working as a media personality.
