Good catch
Good catch
Good, we know he’ll be filling in for Brisker at some point.
I really hope not. Brisker was a true difference maker early last season. He had an incredible game against the Rams. Unfortunately, his history so far suggests you’re probably right.Good, we know he’ll be filling in for Brisker at some point.

I just think he’s one big hit away from being retired. He had the lowest passer rating against on the team which is pretty damn impressive for a strong safety who's best skill is in the box tackling
I hope he's healthy, cause I feel like he's in for a big year. Replacing two safeties next year sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, too many flashbacks of major wright and chris conte
It's this. Ersery needs to add more than Trapilo plus Shermer to be the better move. Another way of looking at it is whether Ersery would have been a better choice than Burden as they were only 9 picks apart in round 2.The thing here is Ersery also has to be good enough that he would've been worth taking at 41 and not getting Shemar and not moving back into the 4th round. Getting more quality shots will probably win out in the long run. In this case, the Bears turned a 2nd, 3rd, and 7th into two 2nds and a 4th.

I tend to LOL at these definitive statement of draft goodness after the top of round 1. Opinions are fine but this sort of vehement assuredness is just dumb. Even GMs know that they're hedged bets.
I would say Johnson has a good shot at making the Bears final 53Good catch
The Bears dodged a bullet there. He was on their radar along with Henderson.
The cool part is how that must be going over in the contract negotiations going forward… what a time to be moron, in the middle of a holdout. Great judgment. But then again, maybe it won’t matter. Though, it would be funny if that’s what it takes to get the first 2nd rounder to accept a not-fully-guaranteed contract. The Bears dodged a bullet there. He was on their radar along with Henderson.
The domestic violence piece may eliminate him from participating for a good portion of his rookie season even if he can come to terms. The cool part is how that must be going over in the contract negotiations going forward… what a time to be moron, in the middle of a holdout. Damn, looks like it could be a great year for BIG edge rushers., just the kind DA likes.May get another shot at this...

Never thought of Blue as a three down back even at Texas he seemed to be at his best as a specialist behind Robinson/Brooks. I thought he was a lock to make the Cowboys roster, but with this I wonder if it might come down to a fight between Blue and 7th round pick Phil Mafah for the last RB spot.Speaking on the Locked On Cowboys podcast, former Cowboys coach Glenn Smith said coaches “have expressed that Jaydon Blue is ‘borderline lazy’ and that the team is not thrilled with his work habits.”
It’s quite the indictment for the fifth-round rookie, who figured to be in a camp battle with Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders for the Cowboys’ RB1 role this summer. In an article published by Marcus Mosher, Mosher points out that there have been no reports of Blue working with the first team offense during OTAs or minicamp, which could be explained by this recent quote from Smith. Blue slipped to the fifth round of this year’s draft after rushing for 134-730-8 last season with the Longhorns. He’s a versatile back with a three-down skillset that would make him an intriguing fantasy option should he earn a significant role, but this story will be one to monitor once training camp officially opens for the Cowboys next week.
