He ran a 4.65 per dane brugler

Slowest RB in the draft on tape and in the 40

I am not a fan unless he's a 4th/5th rounder. We need a guy with more explosion, particularly because swift is almost guaranteed to be gone in 2026 unless he has a pro bowl level year.

I'm ambivalent on him but that 40 wouldn't change my opinion as he's never looked fast. His 10 yd split would be a lot more important to me. He did a 39.5" vert and a 10'3" broad so it's not like he lacks dynamics.

Its not like he's a WR doing jump balls in the endzone, not sure what vert/broad really matters when you're getting chased down by linebackers who are faster than you.

The guy is a 5th round prospect who likely goes in the 2nd because of a great bowl game performance.

He'd be a great pairing with swift, but I'm not trying to do that in the 2nd. If he was there in the 4th/5th then sure. I know a lot of people love him because of his contact balance but tackling in CFB is just ass cheeks. Same situation with jeanty, but unlike cam, jeanty has a lot more to his game than just bouncing off tackles

Sure he could be good, but his ceiling is david montgomery likely in the NFL, and even that is being generous.

I believe the actual top draft journalist who puts out a fucking bible for the draft every year. Not some random ASU newspaper.
Except pro scouts were in attendance also.......................just saying.

Elite contact balance. Elite vision. Elite cutting and change of direction and acceleration to speed again. Elite tackle breaking. Looks on film to have excellent speed, looks like a 4.45 to me, though obviously he declined to run. Very good pass catcher.
High ceiling, high floor. Probably one of the safest picks in the draft. I think he's going to be great in the NFL.

LOL, it goes to explosiveness and short area dynamics. There's a reason everyone does them. Please don't make it sound like I want draft him early, Don Quixote.

Just saying that there's more to the position than 40 time. A guy like him is difficult to project. He could be very good or bust and that's enough to not have me draft him until day 3. College power backs often don't relate as well to the next level but he's a little more than that. Just difficult to fathom how much more.

I don't think i'd say he's quick twitch but Odeyingbo can play inside and outside. I don't think we have room for another 3T with G.Dexter, G.Jarrett, Chris Williams and Odeyingbo but we could use someone to play the 1T behind Billings for next year and then take over starting doodies after that.
A 1T look at the second and third round. We look so much at just the 1st round, when there is so much talent the Bears can choose from at 39, 41, and 72.

Kollman takes 31 minutes to half-answer the question: "Should Runnings Backs go in the Top 10 (of the draft)?"

Im only 3 minutes in while drinking my morning coffees but im guessing the answer is "probably not but sometimes yes".

Edit: I have been jebaited, running back section is only 7 minutes long.
Interesting info, but I’m not confident he actually answered the question.

Kenny Dillingham Makes Tough ASU Admission After Cam Skattebo’s Blunder Turned Costly at Pro Day

The second Skattebo’s time hit the internet, the trolls came out like it was feeding time at the zoo. The fans were throwing shades like “Bro running like he got a refrigerator on his back,” and whatnot. But before anyone starts writing Cam off, let’s put some respect on history. You know who else ran a slow 40? Terrell Davis—Super Bowl champ, NFL MVP, 2,000-yard season club member. The man’s clocked a 4.7 and still torched the league. So, while this ain’t the best look for Skattebo, it also doesn’t mean he’s cooked.

@DanielCCSBears I noticed you’ve dodged my question about players you would draft at 10 outside of the obvious like Carter or Hunter.

I’m not trying to give you a hard time but I’m not interested in reading after the fact how you think Poles is an idiot and it’s a terrible pick.

Actually, why don’t share what you’d like to realistically draft with the first four picks.

If you don’t go on the record, I’ll definitely line up to give you shit if you regurgitate your usual nonsense.

Who am I to say there's 4 guys who are even Top-10 pick worthy? There was a post on here the other day I whole heartedly agree with. There's like 4 elite guys in this draft and then there's like 40 guys between who have grades that teeter between rounds one and two. It's a very bad draft for high level talent. The Bears would be better off trading back and stocking up on picks than trying to grab the same guy at 10 that they can probably get at 32.

The two guys I hope are there at 10 are Banks and Graham.

That being said most of the time we're all wrong all of the time.
