I agree with this. I would love to see a LT at 10 but I just don’t think any of the ones available are going to be any better than Jones. Right now I’d take Grant at 10 and be happy about it.
Problem is you can't count on Jones to be healthy.

Why is he an obvious elite talent? You should be able to formulate an argument to support your opinion.

My guess you just agree with someone else's opinion.
Elite contact balance. Elite vision. Elite cutting and change of direction and acceleration to speed again. Elite tackle breaking. Looks on film to have excellent speed, looks like a 4.45 to me, though obviously he declined to run. Very good pass catcher.

Agreed. I also don’t think he will be with the Bears next year. I just don’t see the talent to replace him in this draft. I do hope/think they will draft OL. Just not sure it should be at 10

No he didnt. He did even run at his pro day or combine. He ran a 4.65 at his private workout and thats from the athletics main draft expert.

guy is the slowest rb in this draft on tape, so its not shocking he's the slowest guy in the 40 too
Two different reports from two different resources.

From the Arizona Republic, who was there at the workout.

Cam Skattebo ran in the 4.53-4.57 range, per scouts in attendance.

Bane Brugler's report is the same as he posted months ago.

No matter which reports you choose to believe, Cam Skattebo is not running away from any pro linebacker.

It’s really hard to imagine someone with even a tiny bit of football knowledge not seeing the talent Jeanty has. I can understand not wanting the Bears to take him at 10. I’m in that crowd.

Yeah, I get people not wanting to go RB at 10. Normally, I would agree, but every draft and situation is different. I want the bears to take BPA at position of need. Jeanty would certainly qualify so id be fine with the pick. Otherwise, give me Graham, Pearce Jr, or Mike Green.

RoJo ran 4.57,plays slower. He went in round 4 I think. What makes Skattebo worthy of going earlier than round 4?

I believe the actual top draft journalist who puts out a fucking bible for the draft every year. Not some random ASU newspaper.

My only pause with jeanty is the level of competition he faced. Like 9 of the teams he faced were bottom 10% in rush defense for all of CFB.

When you do watch his tape its special. If he did this against the SEC/Big10 I think taking him at #10 would be a no brainer, and I dont believe a rb deserves to be the #10 pick

But its not like HOF players havent came from the mountain west conference before. Urlacher came out of there. Josh allen is balling right now.

I don't know why everyone thinks he's elite. He's just like every other number one graded RB of the last decade. I don't see Marshall Faulk, Barry Sanders etc.

I don’t even want jeanty but literally who tf has made these outlandish comparisons??? He’s not in the convo for top 5.

This is a draft with very few elite players, and the bears pick at 10

Jeanty reminds me of Ezekiel Elliot without the benefit of playing against good competition.

Yeah and there's like three elite backs in the NFL. Saquon Barkley Derek Henry and Bijan Robinson. Jeanty isn't either one of those three. The entire scouting community is caught up in his production like they were with Ron Dayne.

I have decided not to be caught up in stats anymore. Jeanty has no elite traits and will be below average.

I now hope they take the immortal Skattebo at 39, who will lead the team to glory for many years.

In all seriousness, I hope they take Grant or Nolen at 10. OL and RB in round 2.
In no particular order:
1. Jeanty
2. Grant
3. Nolen
4. Williams
5. Pearce Jr.
6. Simmons
7. Emmanwori

I think with everyone but Jeanty you could probably trade down and pick up an extra pick or two this year - depending on how far back you go.
