I was about to mention him.
Big athletic dude who played all over the place, but I think he's best suited as 4-3 DE especially in Allens system.
Watch his replays, pretty frickin impressive.
I'm hoping they take him early day 2.

I’ve seen him play many times. Oregon is a program I watch regularly.

He definitely feels like an Allen DE.

I probably need more context. Sweat does his own offseason stuff too. I think he never comes to voluntary OTAs dating back to Washington. It's not the end of the world, but I guess I do agree that I'd rather he do stuff with the team. It's probably lowering his ceiling.
They’ve been saying “character issues” with him for months now. Regardless of what they are, we all know the Bears only draft Boy Scouts.

If stuff like this is true you can sadly cross him off the Bears list

Feels like a guy kc or Philly will take late if he really falls to them in 1. It also feels like Philly might do some serious dirty work trashing really good players anonymously to get them at their pick annually.

I found this interesting from Bruce Feldman’s mock. Burch is a player that fits the Allen mold for edge and a prospect I’ve mentioned I’d like to see drafted by the Bears. I’ve never seen his name in round 2.

“37. Philadelphia Eagles (via Raiders*): Jordan Burch, DL, Oregon

Philly needs to re-stock its D-line. Ole Miss’ Walter Nolan would be a good fit, but I expect him to be gone by this point. Burch slimmed down for the combine to get to 279 pounds at 6-4 with 33-inch arms (he played the season almost 20 pounds heavier). As expected, he ran exceptionally well — 4.67 in the 40. He was banged up for four games in 2024, missing three due to a knee injury. He still managed 11 TFLs and 8.5 sacks. No one doubts his talent and upside, but his consistency has been a concern.

“When he wants to go, he’s a first-round talent,” a Big Ten offensive line coach said. “His deficiency is that he’s really like a 3-4 defensive end, but I don’t think he sees himself like that. It’s like he just wants to be a speed rusher. He doesn’t play that hard. He has a self-governor on. He is a really good player, but I don’t think he’s elite from what we saw and what I saw on tape.

“You’d see him out there at defensive end, and he’s gigantic. He’s freaky. He can bend around the corner, but if he was really a dude, you’d think he would’ve come out by now.”

I'd much prefer burch or almost any of the 2nd/3rd round edges to mykel/shemar. I can't imagine burch going before the Bears pick at 39 either. The edge I really want is green because he's probably the best pass rusher in the draft but the bears will never take him

Who knew that a name change bet would have such an incredible residual value!

Was gonna say, didn’t a lot of guys want him gone? I don’t get all the cunting over someone and then the tags trying to get him back.

I didn't realize he shed weight... I had him as a hopeful sleeper option in the 3rd. He was a 5 star out of HS and was athletic enough to be able to also play college basketball if he wanted. Due to his size, I was almost thinking he would add a little weight and become a freak 3T. He's an intriguing prospect for sure.

The key to a better response to your thread would have been to type a paragraph of two why you think Warren would be a great asset for BJ and the Bears. Just posting an image of it with no commentary is akin to a preschooler fingering painting a POS, shoving it in your face and walking away. No one gives a shit about your water colors, sport.

I say that as a fellow man who was Sportin' an Orton' in 2005/2006 as well.
I'll take the critique, I won't be so lazy next go around

Pretty sure after they drafted Wright and I was reading what I could find about him I saw something about how he was moved to LT his junior season and was horrible. He was moved back to RT senior season and had a great year.

If he couldn’t hold up at LT in college there’s no way in hell he will in the NFL.
that is false, he was not horrible his junior year

If he's good with 250/255 for his DE's then that really adds some good guys to our list of guys to draft with one of those first three picks.
If DA is cool with Booker at 250-255 then hopefully he's cool with 251 lb. Mike Green who to me already is right now the player you hope Booker can some day develop into. Off the field issues aside.

@bamainatlanta told me the clock starts when he logs back in and he hasn’t. That’s a bonus.

He’ll be loving dick for a while.

I would love M.Green at #10 (if the off field checks out) but i'm starting to think they do go OL at #10 or their 1st pick, wherever that ends up being. Maybe Jeanty or Warren.
