I am just glad the Oilers did not score after their #1 PP unit got that three minute breather while they worked on the goalies blade. Veteran move my left nut.
Crow did fall down just standing behind the net. Made me think he is stopping three pucks again. Just want him to stay home in the net and deal with shots.
I am waiting for Kane to actually mouth off about these lines. He is the face of this team, he should be getting his way, but he just plays where he is told to play and as much as they tell him.
That first goal got credited to Maata, I thought Highmore tipped it, his hands went up, he was on the ice with Kane for that one after a partial change. I remember reading about Highmore with Team Canada, and guys like Crosby said he had talent. Lets hope he finds a place next year on this team. Playoff points need to count for something.

I don't know about Kane being disinterested, but he definitely seems to be floating around more and more as the series goes on, just kind of cherry picking. Which is sad because he's had some really great moments, especially on the PP but then other times he just comes floating out to where Keith is and is like watching for where he should be. It's maddening to me considering how bad the PP is but there is no better option. Just my opinion with nothing to back it up really, i think he's frustrated at the level of play some of the teammates are at, and understandably given the off-season. I think he's getting frustrated at some of the huge missed opportunities that others haven't capitalized on when he's set them up. I think he's having a hard time staying amped up constantly only to see his efforts be pissed away barbecue the shitshow he's been paired with can't receive a pass correctly. That's also lead to a lot of line combinations that result in a lot of the same issues and no less cohesiveness. Sometimes even when lines aren't working I wish he'd stay with them a little more to give Kane time to make the players around him better. Instead of tying to plug the best players in to make Kane effective.

I want to win... I want them to win very badly. I just can't shake the gut feeling that they will win this and then get destroyed in the next series and it will all be for naught. But at least I have some sports to care about again

You can’t look at it that way. Most likely scenario Hawks will play the Avs if they win. This is a tremendous learning experience for the younger Hawks. All we can do is watch and enjoy the moment.

When he starts juggling lines, it would need to be Cagulla, Dach and Kane on a line if they expect an answer. Kookoo or Murphy most probably would, but cant see them getting a 10 min penalty.
