Yeah, Leftwich, Bowles, Bienemy, Caldwell and Flores were candidates / are candidate for some remaining opening. To hire McCown at Houston over them (if they are interested), is a slap in the face
McDaniel would be too if he gets the job with Miami considering he has never called plays.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Real Salt Lake
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Utah Jazz
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Utah Utes

CHICAGO BEARS: OL, WR, CB

Chicago's cornerback room needs some work, but this offseason should be dedicated to building a high-quality supporting cast around quarterback Justin Fields. The Bears ranked 25th in team pass-blocking grade, and Fields had the second-highest rate of pressured dropbacks in the NFL (42.8%).

Some of that is because of the 2021 first-rounder’s play style, but most of it is a testament to bad protection. Teven Jenkins and Cody Whitehair will lock down the left side of the line in 2022, but the other three spots are up in the air. The team ranks 11th in projected cap space and should consider using some of that room on a veteran at any of the three spots.

No way with the dead money…. What would it take to trade one or both for you guys?

It depends on whether you want to compete for the North as early as next year with Rodgers gone or whether you think it is better to strip the team, get a top 10 pick and compete in 2023. If the former then you keep Quinn and Mack. If the latter and you can get a 1st and some change for Mack and a 1st or 2nd for Quinn then you do it. Team would suck this year but the dead money is gone after this year and you go from 28m in cap this year to 36m and then from 92m of cap in 2023 to 116m.

I would prefer to keep them and get some playoff experience next year in anticipation of being a possible SB contender as early as 2023 vs trading them and most likely have to wait until 2024 for the young guys you get in their stead to really be ready to contend.
