Just a short eight weeks ago...moving on from your 30 year old running back at the end of the season seemed like as big of a no brainer as signing Ashlon Jeffrey to a huge contract. Funny how the NFL works.
Since Day One Matt Forte has been the offense of the Chicago Bears. Logic should dictate the days of making a running back the centerpiece of your offense is outdated, but not when you have a running back that can literally do everything. Adam Gase has had five games with him and has had him lined up everywhere but Left Tackle. With an absolute joke of a receiving unit on display, Matt Forte is doing everything and its working.
He has 3000 yards rushing and 1600 yards receiving since the beginning of 2013 season and shows no signs of slowing. And when the game was on the line today and everything went wrong...where is Matt Forte?
Don't let him sniff FA...offer him a new contract during the Bye.
