Does "taking their foot off the gas" or "resting starters" ring a bell? We can play this game all day. If it was such a great season and Watson was such a force the Texans manage more than four wins. All this statistical output in meaningful, close games would result in wins...unless it was coming at a time when the games were already decided.

PFF and their contracted out South Asian "graders" (who know more about cricket than they do about football) can say whatever they want. Doesn't change that simple reality.
Their defense gave up 29PPG and it wasn't because they had an ineffective offense. I wonder if Vildor had any relatives that played on that team... But yeah, discredit PFF while also mentioning PFF.

It only counts during this very specific time or only under these very specific conditions. This is starting to sound like the @vabearsfan15 anti-Anytime rally.

FYI his numbers when leading and behind were both really good. Leading and tied was pretty limited sample considering how awful that team was though.
Actually he had roughly the same numbers in those scenarios as Mitch Trubisky, right down to even the number of attempts when tied or leading. Almost same completion percentage, almost same yards per attempt, exact same number of interceptions, Mitch even had one more touchdown thrown!

So I guess Mitch in 2020 was also really good. "One of the best seasons ever". Weird, because I thought he fucking sucked. Guess not.

Tell ya what though, if Justin Fields can start sixteen games and have as few as fifteen turnovers (INT + all fumbles) all year I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for another season. No matter how few games the Bears win. No matter what else he does statistically, good or bad. It would be a minor miracle if Fields were to go from verfiable turnover machine to averaging less than one per game.
Thank you that is such a relief. I really value your opinion, especially since you came from your month long vacation of snorting Bolivia's finest bug repellant.

Five teams had worse than Houston's 29PPG allowed. All of them except for Jacksonville finished with more than four wins. Might just want to stop now and take the loss on this one bud.

Well don't worry, the only way Justin Fields has fewer than fifteen turnovers all year is if he misses half the season. He's a near lock to have fifteen fumbles alone.

Best Dan Campbell quotes:

"You don't have to be faster than the Bear just faster than your buddy that you ate the kneecaps off of."

"Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and I will eat your children."

"A bird in the hand isn't as good as a pet Lion at practice, but you can eat a bird."

OK now these are real:

'Look, I'm not carrying your toilet paper around. I'm not gonna wipe your butt. You're gonna wipe your own butt.'

"I said this when I walked in. There was a number of guys that were here and I think (Matt) Patricia and (Bob) Quinn did a great job of, there’s no turds here."

"I'll tell you what I would really love to do, just in general. I've talked to (Lions owner) Sheila (Ford Hamp) about this. I don't think we're going to be able to do it, but I would love to literally just have a pet lion. Just a legit pet lion on a chain — a big-ass chain. And he just, he really is my pet. We just walk around the building, we go out to practice, we're in 7-on-7, we're behind the kicker when he's kicking. We're just … there we are."

"A true alpha knows when it's time to concede"

"We’re gonna kick you in the teeth, and when you punch us back we’re gonna smile at you, and when you knock us down we’re going to get up, and on the way, we’re going to bite a kneecap off. We’re going to stand up, and it’s going to take two more shots to knock us down. And on the way up, we’re going to take your other kneecap, and we’re going to get up, and it’s gonna take three shots to get us down. And when we do, we’re gonna take another hunk out of you."

"I would tell you, you transfer energy, without physically even touching 'em, things like that happen, guys." -
The kneecap one makes me think of the scott Steiner math

i have to tell you, there was a highlight last week where he drove that ball to Kmet down the middle in between 2 guys and everyone was raving, I watched the highlight, he never even looked right at all and had ESB on a much easier pass, he seemed to have pre determined he was going to Kmet. i'm really not sure if guys who can "see the field" are just born with that trait or process faster or if it's something that can be developed or improved but clearly he's a work in progress at the early stages....the question i have, what if the defense gets good, is being a great athlete with lackluster field vision good enough to get you into a deep playoff run....i have no idea
Lamar Jackson says yes.

Watson was quite a bit better when leading. Although both leading and tied were very limited sample sizes which you keep trying to use
It took you this much cherry picking to prove that Deshaun Watson was better than Mitch Trubisky in 2020.

And I'm supposed to still believe Watson's 2020 was one of the best season's ever. According to some guys making $3.40 a day in a basement somewhere in Calcutta the best season in fifteen years!

Just saying one of the best seasons of all time should be a little more self evident.

If "taking their foot off the gas" or "resting starters" were such large factors, you'd think that more QBs of bad teams would have solid stats, let alone elite stats. That isn't the case. QBs on bad teams generally have their stats depreciated, not the other way around.

It's absolutely possible for an individual player to be great, but for their team to be ass. Not sure why this is such a foreign concept to you and some others.
