And I should add, the Eagles are a playoff team that added AJ Brown to their offense...so yeah, probably going to be looking better at this point in camp.

It's not that I have a problem with Justin Fields criticism. But, it was an unnecessary comparison to make and one not particularly fair for where those teams and players are in their development and overall roster talent.

I think its fair to make the comparison but the guy could have at least tried to put it in context as the situations are very different

Yeah, 3rd year player vs 2nd year player and with the 3rd year player in his second offseason with the same coaching staff and system. And the Eagles were literally a playoff team last year. So, should be obvious that a non-Nagy playoff team from the year before is functioning better at this point.

..this dude must be forgetting they were drafted in different years. That's the only reason I can make sense of the comparison. Besides the obvious.
Hes also not a talent evaluator. Yeah he played in the league, but there's a lot of guys that played a long time that couldn't judge talent anymore than some schmucks on ccs

Eh, I guess. Just seemed unnecessary to me.

It sounds like Hurts is playing great. So, imo, if you are at the Eagles camp just say that and don't compare him to anyone. Or if you do, keep it within the division. Something like: Jalen Hurts looks to be having a really strong camp. Eagles should be right there with the Cowboys fighting for the NFC East division.

Hell, from that point, it's more relevant in comparing Eagles and Cowboys and how their respective teams/offenses are looking. Especially with the hits that the Cowboys had taken to their WR depth thru trades or injury.

If Fields looked better people would be going nuts. It’s obvious why he made the comparison…. He was in one camp a few days ago and now he’s in another camp. Why wouldn’t you compare? We can only compare players drafted in the same year now? Weird….

Yeah, throwing that hard means the players would be trying to catch the ball out of self defense. It also implies he has no touch. And quite honestly, I question the measurement. Where did it come from? Who measured it and why? Doesn't seem like something a NFL team would normally do in a training camp.
..and I know a whole bunch of old school players I wish I'd seen that measurement on- Warren Moon comes to mind.
