3-4 before they give up and move on
A vague answer to initial question, followed by asking to give more details which he says he doesn't want to get into. Then they'll ask if it will be an issue going forward to which he'll reply no. Someone may say you can understand why we'd wonder. And they'll also ask about trade speculation I'd think. Should be an awkward interview

Looking forward to seeing how Braxton Jones continues to develop. It would be amazing to actually hit on a LT in the 5th round for a team desperate for offensive line help. Depending on how Jones develops and plays, it could change everything for the 2023 draft. If you're not having to look for an OT, suddenly it gives you a lot more options on where to go with your 1st round pick. So I'm anxious to see how he does.

Also really hoping that Doug Kramer keeps the pressure on Mustipher and ultimately wins the center job outright at some point this season. Would love to have two quality young players locked into starting spots for hopefully the long-term, foreseeable future. If Borom can somehow beat out Reiff, even better. I'd feel a lot better about the future of the offensive line if Poles managed to hit on quality young linemen.
Kramer may beat mustipher but Patrick is the C when he's back. I don't see borom beating reiff but Jenkins if he gets out there has a chance. Jatyre Carter seems to still be getting run with the 1s at rg. He's an interesting prospect to me. While everyone liked Zach Thomas, I was more interested in Carter as he actually was the more skilled player.

Sounds great, but honestly if I'm a receiver I don't want to be on the end of that pass.

Yeah, throwing that hard means the players would be trying to catch the ball out of self defense. It also implies he has no touch. And quite honestly, I question the measurement. Where did it come from? Who measured it and why? Doesn't seem like something a NFL team would normally do in a training camp.

I really hope I’m wrong on Kmet. I don’t see him as anything other than an in-line TE that can release for easy receptions.
Eh

Kmet has shown the body control and athleticism to be a complete TE at a high level, imo

All except his hands. I am still concerned dude will always be limited by stone hands

It says nothing about his touch. It was velocity on one throw

This is what I get for talking football before having a coffee, I somehow forgot all about Patrick. Was reading that audacity article and must have slipped my mind so thanks.

At a minimum, if nothing else, it would be great to have quality depth pieces even if not yet "starter" quality. It's one reason I liked that Poles drafted so many offensive linemen, surely one or two has to hit, right? Find guys that can hopefully be quality players by the time the Bears try to become competitive.

What's the rule on that one again? No more than 3 sequential padded practices?

I can't remember the exact NFL rule, but Eberflus had previously said they were only going to be in pads 2 out of the next 3 practices and that they were still working out if it would be pads-pads-shells or pads-shells-pads. It would depend on how guys felt after the first padded practice and feedback from the trainers.

If the teven situation was actually misread and he wasn't holding out due to being a malcontent.....then I hope he has a shot at starting in that RG spot.

Schoffield looks out of shape to me. Mustipher sucks. Not really sure who else there is for the RG spot outside those two....

It would also mean David Kaplan is a moron(We all know this) and owes him a massive apology for starting these rumors.

Any ESPN+ subscribers that can weigh in on their OL rankings that just came out?

How the **** are the Bears 11th best?

They go by pass block and run block win rates so little subjectivity. Bears were actually top 10 in pass block win rate last year ie holding blocks for 2.5 seconds or more.
