As sad as this sounds, no ?

I do remember Trestman having good practices though… frequently
Yeah, I think during the first year of the Trestman era was the only time I ever thought the offense would reliably pick up 3rd downs and I always had a high degree of confidence they would score in the red-zone. That second year? The wheels fell off.

I remember Trestman talking about how good the practices were his final year as Bears head coach. Then the team would lose by thirty on Sunday. I think Trestman was a one trick pony, the NFL figured out his offense and he couldn't adapt.

No facts were presented in that article. Just the opinion of someone. The facts are Quan led the NFL in stops with 93 and has given up 0 TDs in coverage the past 3 years.

Nah some people have done an about face on him now that he wants to get paid.

I totally get not wanting to pay him. What I don't get is suddenly shitting on the guy to justify not paying him. Quan is a great player. Quan may not be worth what he is asking to Poles and the Bears.
It wasn't even an opinion. It seemed like politician talk.

He cannot be because he never did it in THIS system. He is not top 5 because of these people. He is THE guy you look for in the position he will be playing which is one of the top 3 positions in the scheme he will be in. However; you cannot pay him because he has not proven that he is a game changer in a scheme that he hasn't played in yet.

The way I see this playing out is he plays under the 5th year option, and ends up being even better at WILL. In a position that suits him better, and is going to be playing for a monster contract. Lights out.
I think economics say otherwise. No sensible reason for him to risk playing out the season under a $9.7M option year. The Bears almost certainly have a Leonard-like contract offer on the table, with maybe $50m guaranteed over 5yrs, and likely double that if it runs to completion. That's generational wealth territory. In the end, he'll take some modification of the Bears' current offer, and pass on rolling the dice with an option year. There's just too much money involved to do that...

ohh, the goober finally started tweeting:

Fields has two great practices in a row....but yup, always gotta be negative

Multiple reports of a strong performance by fields and scrub wr's...

But clay harbor says otherwise. Ok

Only negative tweets I've seen are regarding the pass pro and JJ making some great plays.

Mr. Harbor has some splainin to do
Why do you cry about every minutely critical Bears tweet...

Sounds like they drafted a guy who isn't accurate to player quarterback.

Should work out well for them.......
but embrace negative news about any other team.

Not saying you are an imbecile but,
your posts seem to lack substance not of idiotic origin.

it would be better if he was. He goes for the jugular every single day.

Not always necessary though, some of his questions are a bit much. He basically asked Flus 3 different ways "How will you handle coaching on the sideline during your first game as HC of the Chicago Bears?".

I'm not sure exactly what he was looking for but he sure as shit went for it.

Did anyone ask what kind of hat he will be wearing on the sideline? As Bears fans we all know how important this is to the teams success.

Didn't listen to it but if its anything like every other presser its because Flus gave no real answer. I like that the beat has been pushing these guys to answer things. I would rather them ask the same thing 5-10 times over acquiescing to their stubbornness.

Probably Nick Moreano. Seems to be all he's good for.

Potsie is the best Bears beat because he actually asks the hard questions. And he’s a sarcastic smart ass which I love.
