You are literally repeated what people say when every new GMs come in and make cuts they have no business making. Awesome. You have 100% faith in a brand new regime. First year GM, first year coach and you have 100% faith in their ability to make these calls. Great. I don't and many others don't. We've seen it before. Oline is a position of weakness, so to cut from that absolutely has many scratching their heads. This isn't some 7th round pick. Jenkins had a 1st round grade by many experts.

That's not a rare article. Articles like that are all over the place.

Many on here trusted Pace 100% very early on. You're suggesting trust Poles 100% very early on. How about we pump the breaks and once they prove something, we give them the benefit of the doubt.

With all that said, his college coaches interview is very concerning. Teams took him off their board allegedly due to this. He kept bringing up "when he wants to" or something along those lines. That screams motivation and entitlement issues. All the versatility and talent in the world may not matter if the young man isn't motivated.

Think you are confused. My point is I have no basis to trust or distrust Poles as Jenkins has done jackshit in the NFL. What I am suggesting is instead of crying about this let's see how Jenkins performs in the NFL whether with the Bears or someone else.

Involved in lots of lateral moving principles, he proved to be an average executor. Jenkins isn’t a consistent explosive mover on outside zone or perimeter run concepts, but he has enough athleticism in his lower half to secure his area. A bit top-heavy, he moves in similar ways as he relies a lot on his upper dimensions to eventually outlast moves from the opposition.

This notes he would be better in a man/gap/power scheme not zone. Notes he is only average when it comes to lateral quickness. Good enough to get the job done but hardly a strength. So the step up in competition in the NFL could easily result in his average execution being below average now. So sure being able to be an average executor may mean he is versatile but since we will be playing outside zone 70-80% of the time we may want someone who actually excels playing it.

So before we crown his or Poles ass just relax and lets see how he performs if he gets on the field this year.

No but it makes perfect sense to want him to play in the new scheme before giving him 90-100 million.

Yeah problem is it makes perfect sense for Quan to not want to take that risk. If I am Quan I want a long term deal now so if Bears disagree then better to trade him than make him play as a malcontent.

No one is crying. lol. Agreed, Jenkins has done nothing in the NFL. With these reports about Roquan biting on playaction more than typical Flus linebackers do you feel the same about him? If Flus says he isn't a fit, do we let Roquan walk?

They have him under contract this year and the tag the next two if they want. If I am Poles I remind him of that every day. Only person Quan hurts playing as a malcontent is himself. It’s not like this is a playoff team. It’s not like he’s a QB or WR. This is LB…. One of the most interchangeable positions in the league.
