Until that goal I still believed Jimenez might be the best striker in CONCOCAF.

Just the aura...to be subbed into a Mex/USA rivalry game and score within minutes by making and extraordinary effort to create an angle....

First class. That's how you demonstrate your an important part of a Champions League world championship.

All that is left for Pulisic is the EPL title this year, and then World Cup glory. Which for us is quarter finals.

Panama and Canada and Mexico and U.S looking like a 4 way battle for 3 spots.

Does 4th place get a play-in or third place?

Top 3 in. 4th playoff.
Well Jamaica and Costa Rica are way off the pace.

I was worried about this qualifying round but we should have to basically beat Panama or win a play-in.

I think we can.

Mexico 's fans are in disbelief. They think they suck. Lol.

And they are a little long in the tooth, etc...but I see this more as the rest of Concacaf is greatly improved.

I mean Jamaica plays well. They have a good team with good attributes and they are getting trounced.

I was worried about this round of qualifying because of Canada and Costa Rica and Jamaica, I thought Panama would have more of a down cycle getting young but they stayed good.

It's a crowded field and we aren't out of the woods yet...but it would be difficult to fall out of the playoff spot now.

Yeah…we are in good shape. A point in total against Canada and Mexico could probably suffice. Must win against Honduras.
Then we control our destiny against chasers Panama and Costa Rica last.
Both could end up essentially play-in games, as after we play Panama they play a likely already qualified top 3 Canada who may not do us any favors similar to Mexico when they hold the option.

The weather at 25 degrees could be worse in Ontario. We lucked out not going through what Mexico did up there and hopefully can take advantage but they have a good side.

The media keeps decrying some “striker” issue but I think Timothe Weah is sensational.
Give me

Weah-Pepe(Feirrera sub)
Pulisic
McKennie-Adams-Musah (Busio sub)
Robinson-Brooks-Zimmerman-Dest
(Yedlin sub)

Turner

Let’s keep in mind this team is babies. Keep expectations low, be thankful for lessons even in a difficult qualifying so they don’t get cocky. The draw will be the biggest thing for our success this time, with no shot at winning but every game they can advance valuable experience and memories.

That’s it. Enjoy the ride. This is as much about 2026.

Golden generation, IMO.

Other than that, this is the best CONCACAF I have seen. The struggles of Jamaica speak volumes to me given the speed and world players they have, as well as general level of play I’ve seen from them.
I think AFCON should consider allowing honorary African heritage nation inclusions like the gold cup (Qatar)and South America (Mexico) do now, because I would love to see Jamaica measured against that field.

That was silly.

I don’t like that we did that and I don’t think we needed to. We did prove we were the mentally tougher side but I don’t think we had more than 3 or 4 players who actually benefited.

Zimmerman was one. Pulisic cozy off the bench, sure. And the opponent straight had 3 players quit, no mas.

So it worked but was cheap and I think corrupted the analysis of Weah and Pepi.

I thought Weah was sensational again and created all kinds of havoc and garnered attention that led to goals, but disappointed he couldn’t find one himself.

When we are complete I would like to see Weah and Reyna lead the charge with Pulisic the link up guy behind them in a 3-1-3-1-2, but Pepi or Pulisic off the bench doesn’t bother me because I think it suits their diminutive bodies.
