And this is why we won't have Besler tomorrow..... SMH

original.gif

I wonder if CONCACAF has a disciplinary committee to look at plays just like this (like MLS). Yellow should be taken away from Besler and one given to that asshole from Costa Rica.

Disciplinary Committee

The Disciplinary Committee shall preside over disciplinary matters where tournaments other than the Gold Cup regional championship are concerned, having a say in the length and severity of suspensions and fines resulting from foul play. The Disciplinary Committee will serve as the final appeal recourse for Associations where competition related matters are concerned.

Chairman: Alfredo Hawit (Honduras)

Vice Chair: Ariel Alvarado (Panama)

Members: David Sabir (Bermuda), Peter Campbell (Cayman Islands), Luis Hernandez (Cuba), Carlos Mendez (El Salvador), Jose Ernesto Mejia (Honduras), Enrique Bonilla (Mexico), Rolando Lopez (Nicaragua), Lincoln Sutherland (Jamaica) and Mike Edwards (United States)

Not enough time anymore anyway I'd think, game is tomorrow and no word from them about it.

That stuff happens in Concacrap guys. Nobody should be surprised and nobody should expect Concacrap to do anything about it.

New rankings out tomorrow too I think, FIFA hates us so the loss to Costa Rica will probably drop us from 19th to out of the Top 100 :yep:

Table:
United States - 16 pts
Costa Rica - 15 pts

Honduras - 11 pts
---------------------------------
Panama - 8 pts
---------------------------------
Mexico - 8 pts
Jamaica - 4 pts

Mexico has 2 games to finish better than Panama, and that would just be to play New Zealand for the CONCACAF-OFC play-in match... 3 points behind Honduras for the last automatic qualifier. Mexico NEEDS to win both games.

Mexico plays Panama and Costa Rica, and still has played only one game under their new coach...

2013 United States National Teams Thread

What an experience! We got to the stadium around 4:30 and headed over to one of the two lots the American Outlaws had for pre-game festivities. Thousands then marched from there to the stadium singing, chanting and having a great time. If you've never experienced a supporters walk you have to do it! The game itself, outside the first 20 minutes of giveaways, was fantastic.

Crew Stadium has one access road for parking so we stuck around to let traffic clear. They ended up showing the second half of the Honduras Panama game on the big screen. Once that ended the couple hundred of us that stayed celebrated qualification and then things got better when the team came back onto the field with champagne and celebrated with the fans.

We finally got back home around 3am, watched the replay of the goals and got to bed around 4am. Getting up at 7am for work isn't the best, but the night in Columbus was worth it.

And yes, Dempsey acknowledged to us that he missed the PK on purpose. After we started chanting he did it on purpose he smiled, gave a thumbs up then held up two fingers and a fist. Dos a Cero!

Sounds like a great time, all I've seen is the goals. Class ended early at 7:40, but the next train from Union wasn't until 8:40 still, then the train was 10 minutes late on the way back, then I got home, had to watch the Obama speech for an assignment, and had 2 others that were due by midnight.

Hoping there is an encore coming on still or something like that. Disappointed I didn't see it live, but thrilled about the result!
