Mexico won 2-1 unfortunately, so they are in a spot where they'd play New Zealand for the play-in, and are 3 points out of the Top 3 and 3 points ahead of Panama for that play-in spot.

Mexico needs to win and make up the goal difference, oh and Honduras has to lose (example MEX 2-0 +1 and HON 0-1 E)

USA saves Mexico from missing World Cup!@! That was unbelievable with 2 goals by USA in stoppage time to come back and win 3-2 against Panama.

I was hopping the US would just play out the last 2 minutes and not score (1-2 Panama) and have Mexico eliminated. Let's hope that New Zealand beats them in the playoff.

Yep, me too, so it was a nice comeback, but was pretty disappointed to be honest. Doubt NZ beats Mexico though, product of a weak OFC without Australia.

I had the strangest mix of emotions watching the last minutes of the games. Happy that US won, even if it was meaningless (although not meaningless for the fringe players on the squad), but disappointed that Panama was so heart broken and that Mexico was saved. It would have been funny seeing Mexico not make the World Cup, but then again they know that they only made it because the US helped them, so maybe that's good enough. Their media's tearing them a new one though.
